I'm pleased to say that I completed my first Half Marathon at the weekend in 2:24:49, inside my target of 2:30 :) I ran the entire way in less than perfect conditions but it was thoroughly enjoyable none the less!

I hope to be back powerballing properly again soon, as I've not got another race until March and intend to work on overall body and speed work in the meantime. Powerballing fits nicely into toning my arms :D

I've had a 250Hz model in the past and for the increased price I was expecting a much higher quality product and I'm wondering if I just got a faulty one. Here's a list of what I'm experiencing and I was wondering if someone could comment on if this is to be expected...

1) The counter wouldn't work on arrival, I had to take it apart to reset the batteries and then the counter would start going past 0.

2) If I lightly spin the gyro I can hear a light tick with each revolution. Sounds like a stray wire being flicked by something but I've opened up the unit and can't find what it might be... is this normal?

3) The gyro doesn't seem to spin easily with a light push and rocks back on light touches as if it's not properly balanced - it should just slowly stop if it were, right?

4) I've had it for a week so far(daily use) and cant get past 9536 top RPM, I actually seem to be getting worse with time and can't beat the top score I set on day 1.

5) The reflection in the gyroscope doesn't seem constant, like it's not a perfect sphere when spun slowly.


Any helpful comments would be much appreciated.
