I started powerballing about 2 years ago and only did so for about 2 months. In that time, I reached a maximum RPM of around 12200.
I started powerballing again around December 2010 and in through to this year. But my powerball was old, and slow. I never did get anything higher than the 12200. So I decided to purchase a new one. Right off the bat I hit ~12600. I continued practicing on and off for the month of March and one day finally hit 12901. But I realized the key to me getting these high scores, I needed to be sitting down! I just can not get any significant score while standing up. So this started my training. I wanted to hit 13k. I created an excel chart and plotted everything! Below is my Maximum RPM chart. I dropped after my 12901 score due to hand being sore from blisters and such.
This may sound stupid, but grabbing some large screws, a hand screwdriver, and a block of hardwood is a great way to work your forearm!
Here is my Max. RPM chart. Independent variable on x-axis is measured in Days. So t=0 would be the day I started tracking.

So as you can see my progress has been very good! It seems that I submit a new Highscore every day. The moderators must be tired of reviewing my new submissions.
So that's where I'm at, 13650 right now. In the past 4 days, I have went 13392, 13339, 13420, and 13650.
Now I just need to learn how to do it standing up, because sitting down I can only use wrist, and I think those "pulses" thing people do looks like it helps!
