Hi, Im thinking about getting a powerball to help with my drumming. As you minght no, you use your wrists to hit the drums, arms to move around the kit. Do you think the powerball will help to speed up the up and down movement of my wrists and help to play faster?

Absolutely. Powerball has become a big hit with musicians of all kinds...guitar, piano, drums - it is a superb warm up device in addition to providing extra flexibility and strength in the wrists and fingers:

After a couple weeks of 10 minutes a day on the ball, you'll see you'll be able to drum harder, faster and for alot longer.
I use a chainsaw quite a bit, you hold it with your left hand, and control throttle with your right, meaning all the weight and force is put onto the left arm/hand, i am right handed and so i could only use the chainsaw for about 15 minutes because my left arm/hand just wasn't strong enough.
Using the powerball i can go over an hour now without any troubles. I think whats best about powerball is the fact it gives you such a broad work out rather than just concentrating on one particular muscle.

I havnt played drums for a while now although i still regard myself as a drummer, i think the powerball might help, i found i got more pain in my calf muscle from using the bass drum! maybe they should invent a power"foot"ball to exersize your feet and legs!!!

I now play the keyboard more often than the drums, one of the reasons i got a powerball was my wrists and fingers hurt quite bad after playing the keyboard, I havnt felt this pain since ive had the powerball, mainly because ive overdone it and my wrist now hurts from powerballing, so much that it makes the keyboarding pain much more tollerable!!!

im trying to learn the guitar and was getting pains in my wrist from trying to get the right chord shape with my left hand but since using the powerball i have been able to practice longer without the pain that i was getting before- although it is harder to use with my left hand as im right handed:)

My son has a band and the drummer has been using my power ball. He said it increased his speed almost immediately. Anyway he is sold on it.
