I only started this insane hobby about 10 days ago and after 3 days of a mild half an hour max per day I was getting horrendous blisters in certain areas of my outer palms below fingers and on my pinky! Since then I started using a pair of leather gloves that I have that do not get used and have since broken the 12k mark and have had no blister problems and a far stronger grip on the powerball than I ever had bare handed.....

Anyone else here use gloves? try it if you havn't you may never go back!!

Ive heard quite a few people enthusing about the use of gloves with the powerball. I used to play golf (which stopped when i went to university), but cant for the life of me find my damn golf gloves! I think these would be ideal, thin, fitted and lots of grip :)
I have found that washing my hands just before doing a record attempt (either highscore or 90s) does give me considerably better grip and feels less like im gonna drop the beautiful little beast.

I cant get as high scores with the rotor facing my palm because i cant hold it as tight (pushing it into my palm would cause the rotor to touch my hand and slow it down). I do find this very handy for doing 90s strength runs though. I swap it into my left hand and use it with the rotor facing my palm, then my right (stronger) hand can use it normally and i dont lose too much time with swapping between hands. Managed to get 14778 so far on 90s strength mode :D

Yes Mark,

If you are using the ball for high speed runs it is always a good idea to give your hands a quick wash beforehand - it will hep you to keep a firm grip on the Powerball.

Many other suggestions have been made, ranging from balloons to surgical gloves, all of which will help your grip, especially at those higher speeds.

Strange, I only came on here to say almost exactly the same thing, apart from I have now had my powerball 3 days, got the horrendous blisters in exactly the same way, now started wearing leather gloves tonight and got 12176! :)
