Hey people, i have had a powerball for two days, used it around 30 mins on each day and i am now getting very sore neck muscles.

I am generally very fit, do free weights and cycling, and i am concerned about this, should i be worried?

Has anyone else had sore neck muscles?

Yeah when I did false move on a speed run :)
Just rest for a few days and you'll feel better...

Alright mate, i guess i can be paranoid at times and because i was not expecting my neck to be sore i was wondering the hell happened!

I think it must be down to the fact my neck muscles have not been stretched properley or put under any real pressure for a long time so the pressure from the powerball has caused a injury.

I will give the powerball a miss for the next week and let my neck heal before i use it again!

Also communicated directly to John via email:
The best course of action is to take a break from using the Powerball for a few days and to slowly build up your use - both in terms of time spent and also in terms of the intensity of the workout you engage in.

It is best to use the Powerball for periods of 5-10 minutes at a time at moderate speeds (3-5000 rpm) until you are used to it and the workout it gives the various muscles in your arms and shoulders.

As with any exercise tool, you should ease yourself into the Powerball workout, bearing in mind that the workout achieved from the Powerball is unique and exercises your muscles in a manner which is very different from anything to which you would have been previously accustomed.
