i've had my neon pb for about a year now and am finding that it has become less smooth then it once was. I've opened it up and cleaned the rotar support band (i'm guessing thats the white translucent band that holds the rotar within the sphere) and outer sphere.
The edges of the sphere where the rotar support band touches seems rough and damaged so i was wondering if there is a way I can sort this out. Also when you clean your power ball which bits do you clean and how.

edit: tried smoothing the edges of the sphere by running my thumb nail over it, this seems to have helped but my counter has died in the process. Worked when i tried it after the cleaning but then just cut out and refuses to turn on again, do i have to buy a new counter or am i able to get a replacement?
edit2: 5 minutes later i try the to turn the counter on and guess what? it works again :S
