hi there,
I got a powerball for my christmas, and il start off by saying how pleased I am with it, for something so small to generate what it does really does make me appreciate it each and every time i use it.
However, I have only had a few days use out of it through me having lost the starter strings supplied with it, first one was thrown out with the box thanks to my dad =( and the second one got lost with the usual mess of christmas.
Having being slightly dissapointed at not being able to use my powerball for a couple of days, but thought would be ok since of the great guarantees that you offer.
However, I sent an email the very first day that I lost the 2nd string, must of been around december 27th/28th. After not hearing back, I emailed again a couple of days later, but put it down to being over christmas and we all need a holiday.
I have emailed regularly since then, and after going a month without use of my powerball am feeling slightly downhearted =(
fnever thought of posting here until today, so hopefully we can sort something out so I can once again get back to using my poweball.
Any help appreciated,
Many thanks
~Rik~
Hi Rik
And thanks for your question. Enda and I discussed this issue today (there was a similar instance from another one of our customers earlier where he mailed and mailed but the messages never came through to us.)
It looks to have been caused by the fact that his email address was 'name'1100@hotmail.com (or something like that).
Now, while I would agree that it shouldn't be a reason for mail not to get through to us, it would appear to be at the root of the matter and we are presently looking into allowing more flexibility with our mail hosts to try and stop this from happening again (we actually had them implement some changes today so you are welcome to email me directly on rory@powerballs.com later today or tomorrow and quote this thread - I'll look out for it)
Cords are flying out each day Rik and so I am sorry to hear that you have been sitting frustrated for the past few weeks! (By the way, please have a look here: http://www.powerballs.com/faq.php?q=1 )
I'll await your further correspondence on this and offer our apologies once again.
With kind regards, Rory

Hmm weird, all i can think of is your emails arn't getting out from your inbox properly.
Have you checked all is working ok, as i know the powerballs emails are working.
Maybe try sending your request from a different email and see if it gets through then?

In a few months, when you're finger-starting your Powerball all the time, you'll never use the string anymore anyway. But yes, I can imagine how annoying it must have been. I'm a bit of a Powerball addict at the moment and rarely does a day go by when I don't use one of mine. When I first started I was even more addicted though. :D
Hello Rik,
I notice that the email address that you used when registering on the forum was a hotmail address. As with a problem we experienced yesterday with another customer's emails, I have not seen anything in our SPAM server logs which came from your address within the last 10 days.
We are getting perhaps 70-100 emails per day from hotmail users, many of them SPAM but we do get a number of legitimate mails each day also.
Could I ask Rik that you please email me directly enda@category9.com with your original query and also the email address you used to contact us originally, and I'll ensure that your query is dealt with promptly.
Regards

could you let me no if you recieved it or not,
thanx
Hello Rik,
I have checked for mail coming from your hotmail address and nothing has passed through our scanning system in the past week.
Could I ask that you please confirm your email address to me directly, and forward your original email to me at enda@category9.com. Perhaps you might try using an alternative email address so as to rule out the possibility that your problem may lie with your hotmail account.
Thank you for your continued patience in this matter Rik and for your valued interest in the Powerball product.
Regards

has anyone recieved the emails, or read my post here??
cheers
yeah me, but sorry i can't help you... ;(

I have checked again in all domains for email processed from your address and nothing has arrived here.
Can you please use an alternative email provider such as Yahoo or Gmail to send us a mail, so that we can rule out problems with your email provider?
Thanks

P.S. Just don't use hotmail addresses for sending mails to rpm sports. Gmail works fine over here ;)
