I bought a powerball for my mum who has bad arthritis in her fingers hoping that this might help. I'm sorry to say guys though - the instructions included with the powerball are rubbish in terms of telling you how to exercise diferent muscle groups etc. What is the best way to hold the powerball to exercise fingers?

Hi,

Having just had a little play on which way is best to exercise the fingers, i have found that if you hold the powerball with the counter facing your palm, but not actually touching it, and then your fingers wrapped around the ball in wide spread out positions evenly around the ball, it seems to put more strain onto the fingers giving them more of a work out.
However if your Mum is treating Arthritis make sure she does not over do this technique. Keep the ball spinning roughly between 4000-5000 RPM, don't go too much over this speed. Do this for about 15 minutes a day (maybe less or maybe more - it will depend on the severity of the condition and her own abilities in general...never exceed these!), and i'm sure she will see a difference.
Hope that helped you.
