Hi, anyone got any cleaning tips once you've got the little guy apart? Is it ok to get it slightly wet? I know they recommend air-pressure to blow out bits, I was wondering about a blast from a steam cleaner?

It's not recommanded to use any water on the ball. Air pressure is a good way to expulse the plastic dust. If you open the ball, I think you could use alcool, if the ball is a bit greasy.. but it should not ;)
Don't use aceton or other solvant, the plastic may not like it!
To conclude, just openning the ball and blow in it will give you a new sensation of smooth with the ball.

I usually get a bit of cotton wool and dampen it a bit and give it a wipe round. Make sure you dont get the rpm counter wet tho

I use a mild solution of washing up liquid in warm water and a toothbrush to clean the inside of the two ball halves. Then rinse under warm water, and dry thoroughly before re-assembling. For the rotor and support ring, I just blow any plastic bits/dust off. Works a treat!

Hey, well i've got this stuff in a can that you use to clean computer keyboards with, its just compressed gas that comes out a tube.. i usually just open up my powerball and blow out the dirt annd stuff with this thing :D takes a few seconds and you won't leave behind any traces left by a cloth
