OK, we see a lot of entries in Top100. But how can we be sure that they are real? I understand that high resolution images are required for speeds over 14000 rpm, but there are two possibilities:
1. A moderate photoshop user can make my mother look 20-years old. Imagine what he can do to a photo of the counter.
2. A person with little knowledge of electronics could possibly interfere to our little counter and make it show whichever score he wishes.
So, how do we know that all these "supermen" we see in the board are real and not just "smarties"?

(All images over 14,000rpm must be accompanied by a larger 600 x 600 pixel image to allow us closely study the authenticity of the score. No matter how good a photoshop user is, there will always be a tell tale sign of modification when viewed with the special software we use for this very purpose.
If someone is shallow enough to try and modify the score electronically (this is not easy to do, mind you) then it is to be pitied.
For our world record attempts, we have another system that we follow to ensure that the score is actually valid. When you are in the fortunate position to be heading for a valid world record George, then you will be privvy to how this system works and how air tight it is to operate. We receive many "world record" claims each day but these are either as a result of counter errors or cheats...they are weeded out instantly and we therefore believe that the board is presently about 98% accurate (one or two in there slipped through before we employed our new procedures and I presonally feel are suspect, but they are not in the top 10 so we will have to let them pass...Regards Rory)
