View Full Version : Ouch!!! Blisters and Burns
I have had the powerball for 5hrs now and have 2 blisters and one burn from the rubber grip!!! I dunno if it is worth it as I only have got to 11431..anyone else got tender hands out there or is it just my girly computer hands??

Yes, part of it is because of your frail girly hands! :-)
Maybe you are trying to do too much too soon. You can get a beneficial workout at only 5-10 minutes a day.
I'd reccomend 5 minutes a day until your girly hands get conditioned into knuckledragger man hands (5 min a day for three weeks should do the trick). Once your skin is used to the abuse, you can up it to 10 or 15 min a day. More than 15 hard min. a day is overkill unless you're set on takin down Akis.

I have a blister on the left side of my little finger, but I've been using it for about 3.5 hours a day for the past two days, so you're not alone in your blister worry!

Haha, the ball tore the skin off my fingers twice - middle finger and ring. I'd suggest use gloves if you don't want your hands to toughen and callus up, ta ha.

I thought my skin was tough enough, because i Weightlift 3 times a week, and work with heavy things at my workplace, BUT no :)

odd... I've used the ball for over an hour today total, 5-10 minutes here and there, and haven't noticed any burns, except when the string didn't come out of the little hole and the gryo ripped it from the hand I was using to pull the string with... nice little burn mark there...

I did an hour of non-stop hard endurance the other day and had tender bits on my hands, but no blisters...I'm past that now...I just have some nice callouses!
The Metal 350Hz gets me most on the inner knuckle of my little finger, on the knuckle nearest my palm. It rubs a lot on the rubber grip. Probably doesn't help that my method of holding it is a little twisted.
I got blisters on my hands cause couln't put the thing down, even when they were sore, which didn't help. I am alright now thought. I can do about 40 minutes non stop without any problams at all.
Happy pain free powerballing ;-)

I agree, very hard to put the stinking thing down, I just have to force myself not to jump on it hard and give myself some heal time. I generally try to break my personal top score every 3-4 days or so. My thumb is absolutely in the worst shape. Huge blisters and callusus, nothing a little electrical tape can't cure.
