Hi,
Anyone who play drums here?
I'm a drummer and I wonder if the powerball will help your speed, power and endurance etc. when playing drums?
Thanx

oh yeah man definitely. been playing drums since i was 8 (25 now) and the workout from a powerball will easily help speed/endurance in playing.

Thanx Adam,

Now I feel even more encouraged to continue practice with the powerball.

How often do you practice with the powerball? And long did it take to see big improvement?

(Do you think it help the finger technique also?)Thanx - Martin

You're welcome. I've found, as with any exercise, that you will build up strength over time. So just keep on going with it, but within your comfort limits, which will increase over time, just like drumming stamina.

Now for finger technique.... I do not know if those muscles are getting worked as much as the wrist and forearm. If you want to blast your fingers, lay on your bed, on your back, and do speed runs "drumming the ceiling" with sticks, using finger technique only. the natural air/gravity resistence will give you one hell of a workout, try speed runs! Let me know how it works out for you

I play traditonal grip & was surprised how poorly my left hand works. I'm concentrating on my left hand to get better action with it.

I've been playing drums for four years and the whole time my left hand has been lagging, especially in doubles. I bought a powerball to try to increase it's strength. So I guess this was a good idea then?

The best idea you've probably had for your drumming in a long time Tim! :-)
