I have had a couple of scares when puling the cord on the powerball. if it is not done properly i.e. too much slack for example, the cord can get stuck inside the powerball. so, what did i do to eliminate the cord problem? i mad a little loop at one end of the cord. Now whenever i want to pull the cord, the loop tightens around my finger and i can really let rip without fear of getting the cord stuck inside of the powerball. Plus it is a handy wat of no losing the cord. I hope that this has been of help. Bye

One of the first times I powered up my PB the string got hooked within the mechanism and the gyro stuck fast, but I managed to untangle it all. Now I generally use my fingers or thumb to start it.

(Plus the little, plastic "fluglebinder" on the end of my piece of string is already ripping off anyway!)
