Powerball Slowdown

When you get it really high RPM, you obviously can't hold it forever, so what is the right way to get it slowed down? everytime I try it just wants to jump out of my hand and makes a knocking/clacking sound (due to the gyro changing direction).

I think that the only way to do is to save some of you strength, and when you can't go faster, you hold the ball very firmly, with two hands. The ball will slow fast, but if you don't hold it good, it should damage the rotor.

Another technique you can try is to gradually slow down increase the turning circle of your wrist. This works for me pretty well.
