Sounds like the right hole, you just need to hold the ball firmly in your hand, hold the cord with the other and give it a good hard tug. Flip your hand over and stir away..

I think it does take a bit to get used to how it all works, someone should do an AVI of how to do the start and the speeding up process, the stills dont make it very clear.

I'd do one, but I dont have recording equipment.

Hi DB

Please click on the Questions & Answers link in the website . There is a text in there which will explain how to get your powerball started and will hopefully have you spinning in no time!!. Lots of practice is required but the benefits are remarkable.

I am also having the same problem. After trying for the whole afternoon and whole evening, I still can't get it to "spin up" after pulling the string out, and doing everything suggested by the guides, like slower wide motion.

Either the instructions are not specific enough or I am physically challenged!

You're not alone. I got mine yesterday and after hundreds of tries I can't get it running. A better video would be nice. The "Getting your powerspall spinning is easy"-video is very frustrating and not very helpful.

Phew, I thought I was the only one who couldn't spin it up. After a few days of trying, I am already given up on this. I need either someone to show me in person now or a better longer and larger video!!!

Hey all, I find that at low speeds if you whip the ball during part of it's orbit speeding up is made easier (although maybe this is my poor technique). Put your hand out in front of you fingers up - 12 o'clock is the direction the fingers point. After kicking off with the string orbit the ball counter-clockwise and whip it between 12 and 10 o'clock. Once the ball has sped up you can resort to constant motion. Hope this makes some kind of sense!
