Is it broken?

Hi, I recieved my Powerball earlier today. However, I have a feeling that it might have arrived damaged....
When I hold the Powerball so that the LED score display is facing the screen, the inner yellow ball seems slighty loose, so that if I push the yellow ball up, it will move about a millimetre (very slightly). This in turn is producing a 'loose, knocking' sound when I try to use the Powerball.
Should it be like this? please help, thanks in advance.
