View Full Version : Faulty Powerball? Unexpected sounds.

I received my Powerball today and was surprised to see the ball actually being able to travel about 1 mm vertically inside its housing.
I thought it, being a high precision, ultra high speed revving gyroscope, ought to be more tightly fit?

The vertical travelling is accompanied by some "clicking" sounds as it touches down on the opposite side.

I captured a few short videos of the effect as I moved it up and down on a table (non revving):

Hello Martin

And thank you for both your query and your new Powerball purchase.

Please refer to the following FAQ here (http://www.powerballs.com/faq.php?q=14) on the subject of up/down play in the rotor - it sheds full light on why this is actually an inbuilt characteristic of your new powerball.

Thanks Rory! It seems I completely overlooked that question when I browsed your FAQ earlier today.

Well, then I'm off Powerballing! :)
