How quickly can you stop the powerball from spinning. I would like to use while driving but if I can't stop it quickly I don't want it flying around in the car if I suddenly have to put it down.

Hi Alex - and thank you for your question earlier.

In truth, it is only a matter of placing your fingers on the rotor after it has slowed to a sufficient degree during a session to bring it to a complete stop.

Powerball is extremely popular with people who spend time on the road in their car as it can be used safely as you drive along. If you need to stop the ball, simply stop rotating your wrist and the rotor will immediately begin to slow. After a few seconds of this speed reduction, the rotor will have lost enough momentum to be easily brought to a complete stop by your fingers.

In the event that you had to suddenly stop and wished to drop a fast moving Powerball on the seat beside you for example, then simply do so. The Powerball won't move around at all, (the forces being generated act only on the sphere itself) and the unit will simply sit there as the speed scrubs off. (We don't recommend this however, as it can cause undue wear to the inner components to allow the rotor rotate while not holding the unit firmly in your hand)

Hope this helps Alex and thank you once again for your question.

Regards Rory

Why wouldn't you simply push it against cloth? Not something really dusty, but if it's clean, why not? That way you can stop it almost immediately.

Please don't talk about using a PB while driving in a positive manner. It's just stupid to suggest that this is safe. By condoning such actions a life maybe taken. Wait till your not driving it won't kill you but not doing so may kill someone else.

I routinely use my palms to slow down & stop the rotor. It's easy if you don't let it sit on one patch & burn you badly..
as for using in the car, I hope you meant "in the passenger seat."
