The base of my hand, just below the beginning of the fingers is quite sore for me. I'm almost positive that this is caused by the edge of the powerball hitting my hand. Is there any advice to cushion this? Maybe later production will have gell caps to go on top of the computer... :D

How about trying grip the power ball with just your fingers, you should find it will give not only a good workout to your hand, but also give some relief to your acheing palms.
Powerball....Absolutely Revolutionary!!

They say one can grow calluss.... this need not be a bad thing. just exercise regularly but not excessively and your skin wil mend and get tougher over time.

Yes. you'd develop calluses the same way as if you were playing the guitar

I got my powerball and took it into college here in the UK. Next day, today, me and 3 friends had sore or blistered pink wounds in the SAME PLACE. Hilarious, but painful. :D
