Well i though it was about time i posted my scores and started a thread,
its been a tough two weeks for me have:( MAN FLU:( and cant get rid of it,
havnt spun for a week and half which is good because i over trained for telford.
hurt right wrist on a mad metal blast i did beat my top score which is now 11145 but at a cost, could'nt even get past 12000 with right for ages.
any way thought i would have a hour spin session tonight and bingo
beat right and left record :) ,hands are sore again but iv got my confidence back now for telford, im going to rest now for a couple of days,

ive had a few powerballs knocking around the house since my mate at work brought one last year but my top score was only 13401,
the maplin comp and me making final has made me start spinning again with a vengence, 13500 took me ages to pass now 14k is my next step
well what a great day at telford, with new neon beat right and left hand scores,the first spin on stage got 13888 i think which was a record but i cant tell you if that was right or left ,within the minute you could have a number of runs with either hand.After that we all carried on spinning off stage,i broke the 14k 14023.14040..14080 ,akis was next to me when i got my first 14k score.Any way with sore blistered hands we had second spin on stage and i got 14004 that was right hand then 3rd spin right hand i got my top score 14152 and 3rd prize to boot
and later at snooker watched ronnie get a 147 what a day

Was a great improvement to make in 1 day.
Indeed Paul was the only one to improve on the day. He got within 20rpm of my score in the competition. I broke 15K off stage, but on stage i just couldnt get the scores i wanted.

I think that was the most impressive performance of the day to be honest. I know Jez quite easily broke 15k in the first round, but he, along with pretty much all the others, were scoring way below their records, yet you repeatedly broke yours, on a new ball, and a Neon, and infront of that crowd, with a slightly awkward wire hanging off the counter. Much respect, you deserved a prize no doubt. :) :)

swaped around balls i seem to have only one good amber pro which is any good even my telford neon has died.

finally got 14060 right and loads of 13900s
45mins later i had a go on metal and third spin right 12336 smashed my right record by loads had another spin 12266
trying different grips but the main thing is relaxing my wrists and speeding up quickly seems to be working

That IS a big leap in speed, but doesn't surprise me...you ought to be scoring around 12.2k to 12.3k with either hand really I think. Do you have a link to the video, or are you going to send it in?

Looks more like 12366 to me. ;) Makes a difference in the Top 100...either you're beating Wild Thunder or you're not.

Hello, havnt spun for a few days my fingers have been hurting im going to cut down maybe spin one good session a week
any way came back from work today sat had a good hour plus session.
left hand 5 spins then right 5 spins
high 13s 9th spin left 14281 new record then 14267,14268,loads more 13s then one last 14119
right hand all high 13s 10th spin 14071,4 spins later 14269 new record
checked leader board saw i need a few more revs to crack top 100
this gave me the boost got 14185,14322 get in there,14092

quick hour after work all 13s got to 50 mins was going to give up(fed up session felt crap) ,
had one 14015 left then 14183,14143
right during session was bad a few high 13800s
last spin before packing up hit hot mode out of the blue

just goes to show never give up no matter how crap it seems sometimes,keep spinning for your full session

Must first reaction is to say that Paul should be due for a new 90s record too. 15463 for someone who can do middling 14ks with either hand?! With a little work you could easily add 3000 to your 90s record Paul...and some!! :eek:

results were almost the same as last sat hit mini hot mode at end of hour but plenty more 14200s and 14300s all right hand ,
left hand is weak thumb sore need to rest it ,still hand 3 14100

i so wanted that 14500 but hand blistered again, had to stop
duel run will need a lot of pratice because my left and right techniques are so different and as for 90s im lazy

You'll do it within a week or so, don't worry about it. In fact, you might do what I did when I was at your level, and leap straight over the 14.5ks and straight into the 14.6ks.

Whoa, well done mate!! I seem to remember predicting you might do the same as me, and jump right into the 14.6k zone from under the 14.5k zone. Okay, so you took a couple of visits into 14.5k before doing so, but still, that's a bigger leap than I made. Keep at it because 14.9k isn't that different to 14.6k really, so 15k might not be far away for you at all!

thanks for comments guys for last 3 weeks scores have been down my left hand is nearly ready for powerballing my thumb was well bruised ,sore for over powerballing
i will start gym again at least twice a week and dumbell lifts 20kg each night for ?? reps each arm (check out the dragon he can do over 1000 reps non stop another amazing endurace guy)
also when weather gets better i will be wing chun pole training and wooden dummy i will post some vids on you tube later of my wing chun skills
this will boost my strength and get me that 15k (i hope)

If I'd done over 15.2k like I said I was going to in February, it would be mine. (Well, no, actually, I wouldn't have had a Neon...I would've asked for a 250Hz pro to replace mine which is slowing down...and because of that I would've been EXTRA impressed at scoring 15.2k!!) ;)

over 25 14s highest being 14577 all others around 14200-14400s
its been 3 months since really letting loose with left hand but had ago 8 14s new record 3times new top is now 14380
had a new 90s of 16828 and duel of 27304 (also left screamer lol)
will rest now untill sat (hope left recovers this time it feels sore allready)

I said that when I hit 15k RH I'd work solely on my left, but as the former is a long way off perhaps I will just work my left for a while. I don't find doing a 100% LH session is good though...my decent LH scores happen when I'm working my RH as well.

I've lost my hot-mode-streak, but it seems you're casually getting those mid-high 14s! It won't be long before you creep up to the 15.

I've had this damn flu bug for 2 weeks now. It never hit me hard, just sragged on. I hope that is the reason for my awful scores. Once i'm fully fit I intend to force myself into some serious training. I think you should do the same Tim. Would be great for you and Paul to get to 15K and me back to 15K. Would have 4 15K+ powerballers from the UK then.

yeah i am confident you got 15060 it seems reasonable if you can do it then it will happen again,try doing exactley what you did tho,even if just a couple of spins before bed gets you a new high score it shows the best time of day for powerballing is that time

Looking at the video I would say your 14973 actually popped over 15k briefly...sounded higher for a split second than my 14974. So in my mind it convinces me that you can do 15k and your 15060 probably wasn't a counter error. Mark yourself as the 18th 15k-er, but I'm afraid rules are rules and we can only approve 15k scores on the scoreboard here when accompanied with an actual video of the score.
Don't worry, you'll be topping 15.2k in a week or two. ;)

I'd also say that it probably proves you hit 15K, but hopefully you get it on video soon to prove it. Wish I could get back to 15K form. I just havn't got the motivation at the moment though. I can get upto 14.6-14.7K when i put a really good effort/session in, but that's it.

That's not "like me" James...I've not had a session for about a month or more. Did a cold-spin a week or so ago and it was 13222, which actually isn't bad...at my peak I was doing 13.3k to 13.7k cold.
Oh, and Paul - PLEASE sort out your 90s score...a 15k speed merchant shouldn't have a 15.4k 90s Strength score...it's just not cricket! ;)

I'm also doing bad with the powerball. The best I got is around 14.2k with a soundball 1 week ago. I also did 13928 on reverse with a soundball which is not bad at all, that same day I did 13968 on normal rotation. I find I could get faster with reverse someday, but it makes my wrist ache badly.
Also my right elbow is not going good. I should let it rest more than 2 weeks at least. If my fingers have healed completely, I guess my elbow should also survive :D

Sorry to hear all that Pako, but that's why you need to learn how to lock your wrist and elbow and pulse your whole body...I've never had any arm pains since I started that technique.

Meant to be off out on a job, but I'll check the video and approve your score first. Fingers crossed, but if you think it's good I'm sure it is...your 14973 was definitely just over 15k I thought...
EDIT: Definitely sounds more than my 14974, so I'm convinced. Will just run it through the analyser anyway.
EDIT2: My Analyser says nearer 15.3k - 15.4k!!! Huge congratulations mate, you've made such good progression these past few months, (since Telford really), it's quite inspiring. That's it, I'm going to REALLY get back into shape now to see if I can keep on your heels! ;)

We are at two opposite ends of the score scale (and even that is quite a stretch, considering that there's no place for me in the last division!), but congratulations indeed; I'm really impressed by your progress. However, don't forget that on your way to 15,500 you'll have to beat the Champion of Russia with the score of 15,434, unless he manages to push it past the 15,5 mark by then. :)
On a more serious note, I'd love to see you make a smaller step, say 15,250, but in a week or two, after good rest and proper mental and physical preparation to your next record-setting session once you feel ready for it. You've just beaten a great mark, and your current psychological condition should be a huge asset, so don't waste it into frustration from failing to hit a goal set unrealistically high! Ah, who am I to give you advice? Best of luck with whatever plan you choose!
I gotta get back into things now that you've already gotten there Paul. Hit 14866 (+15rpm) the other night, but I need quite a bit more than just 15 rpm to catch up now! Jeeez!
you have to train hard and make sure you set yourself training time
ive trained monday and thursday ,thats gym for an hour then spinning for a hour or longer.
iv kept this up for months since telford,each week getting stronger and getting higher scores each session,
a slow process but worth it in the end.
was going to have a spin tonight but have a cold so i probably wont be spinning for another month now, i hope i will be still in top 10 but i doubt it
the rest will do me good .

I'm trying a new method of conducting my sessions...more evenness between left and right runs.
Got up to 14881 tonight (up by a whole 25 rpm). And that was the only run where I felt like everything was perfect. The ball is slowly rotating outwards in my hand and I'm shifting my grip more with each session. I think I'm developing into a grip and technique similar to Akis' and Jez's 16K technique, but its a lot slower so its a little different...

are you doing your powerball session just after the gym? Don't you feel tired?
I am asking you because I want to experiment a little. Which muscle groups are you training - everyone or just biceps, triceps, shoulder. I am at standstill right now, but want to go forward by changing something :p
I hope you will hit 15K again soon - it seems that your training works for you.
i train for a hour down my local school gym ,basic stuff in there,all pulley machines, i do legs ,arms ,stepper,running,arms twice to get good pump
then say 10,15mins to get home and get ready and set up for hour spin
first spin is always a good one,spin 5 right, 5 left,later in sess go on metal for a few spins.
then back to plastic which always gets results.
also mid session i pump up doing 30s
when i got 15k i had hard sess the rested for 5mins and first spin back got 15k.
i must join a proper gym near me which has all free weights and proper equipment (like pako and get big)
my style i would say is all strength and quick acceleration
and always complete your hour many times iv had poor scores and want to give up but out of the blue you suddenly get a hot mode

The timing issue is worrying me too. I missed the competition in Telford because it started in the morning and me and Dennis could only make it up there for around lunch. If it's going to happen again then I might save myself the effort and not bother going this time, but I can't seem to find out when it's starting. :confused:

well what a day had good session scores going up 14500s 14600,14800 then then 15200 ,but turned out to be the mother of all counter errors day.
had to many to mention ,it seems all hour spins seem to register 800 to 1000 revs lower on powerball analyzer. have know idea how this happened.
the ball sounds dull, deep sounding but feels ok when spinning very strange.
to make matters worse open up another new ball and put other counter in and got 4 more counter errors scores in 16000s lol
was spinning all left handed .right arm still weak
oh well went from high to big low.

Don't sound so down Paul. You now need to be more motivated than ever. It does seem a lot of people get to 15K and a little bit and then stop. I am a culprit of it aswell as I sat just over 15K for ages, then got to 15288, and then sat at that for over year. Each time was becuase I didn't puish myself. Each time I've become focused and pushed myself for several months I've broken records.
You just need your mojo back :D

Do what I do Paul, and only have sessions at the Chat occasionally...once a month or two. That's often enough to keep the form just about in place, and then when you feel up to it, two or three sessions a month will see your scores increasing again.
From what I've seen you have a good, solid technique, and there's no reason at all why things won't click and you'll be moving on up. I got a little impatient to get high scores this time last year, and because I failed I had a very lack-lustre 2008. A little incentive and I'm on the up again.
Anyway, hope to still "see" you around here. You're my next target, and if you're not trying at all then it'll make beating you (within the next few weeks) less of a challenge! ;)

hello all I'm back spinning,arm still bad,went to docs he said its golfers elbow .tendon which runs along forearm from wrist to elbow is torn ,damaged.
have rested it and now doing wrist curls,and other exercises to strengthen it, reading on the net it can take up to a year to heal ahhh.
any way after bruising thumb at last comp when i got 14800 haven't span much in two weeks.
picked up ball yesterday morning and got 14k cold,
later had proper go for 30-40 Min's was talking on comp.
slow start 13900s ,30s runs and 90s runs and got in to form
14700,14824, went on to raptor got new rec by 1 rev then after few Min's hand a good blast of 18821 new rap rec
went back to plastic and got 15030 which i think is my second highest score to date then a few more 14600s 14800s and 14931
very happy with results wasn't expecting much,
had to stop thumb still sore .any way also from previous weeks have been doing 30s ,90s and have new recs

Excellent scoring Paul. I had an okay session, but a short one. Can't see me catching your Raptor score for a while though, that's 15.3k Plastic equivalent!! :eek:
good session on comp ,started off on 30s and ripped skin off (SIZE OF 5P PIECE) straight away ,but 1hr 20mins still spinning (the pain)
good solid session 7-8 14700-14800s one 14965.
raptor difficult to grip with plasters on 18704.
what was good was left was in form got 14611 which is 2nd highest score to date plus 12 other high 14ks.
i reckon if hadnt hurt hand and wasnt taped up a good 15k was to be had

was only going to do 10mins 40 mins later

biceps it seems doesnt have much to do with spinning where as if i do triceps down gym my scores are very poor
i think iv slighty improved by a small amount scoring higher scores now in 14600-14900 bracket

Nice scoring. Interesting though, because I seemed to do well when I was doing the 100-pressups regime, and that's mainly a tricep exercise. :rolleyes:

Damn man, these scores are mental. I wonder how you guys can reach those. I've had my powerball for about 10 days and I can do only 10751 so far :P. Well done though :)

Shades of James's Hot Mode when he went from low 15ks to mid-15ks in a single hit. Awesome achievement there, I can't do the ScoreAdmin at the moment I'm afraid, but will try to a bit later today.

I checked on Powerballalyzer and it doesn't quite look the score you got, but about 15400-15450 I think. The other new score, 15324 looks about right or even a bit more, very similar to the 15572 curve.

(You should have explained your session and your score, (even if you had doubts) as you usually do)
So you ve done 15324 and 15572 as i saw in youtube, and i m pretty sure the higtest is true (only with my feeling but i m confident^^). So nice increasing! You re quite close to leg ;) but if you can t catch me whithin these 4 or 5 months it'll be very hard for you after;):D

No longer pending, but live. I wasn't able to Powerballalyse your 15.5k, but compared it side-by-side to a 15.5k score from Duane Cash and they sounded pretty identical to me. Well done.
I know what you mean about knowing you can go higher. I was the same when I got a few 15ks...I knew that if I kept at it I could improve. "If" I kept at it! :o
So what is the official leeway of error on powerballyzer for score acceptance. The 16102 seems way off (yet I seem to remember it looked better when it was first done or am I thinking of a different run) and Paul is around 140 off. Is it done on a combination of sound comparison appearance and powerballyzer??
back from hols today had hours spin for comp.
haven't done any thing for two weeks except eat and drink.

hands got sore pretty quick and right arm not good.
also lots of counter errors today had a nice 16700 lol and a few more due to bad technique today i think

It was the same with me pacman. But you are lucky - you got 14,9k at least. Dam you were right, that I should have several new balls if I want to perform well. Some of the new balls are so slow, I hate them. Why they are not with the same quality....
hand to push and spin for 1.30 hr to get one good score of 14800 .
4 other over 14500 all rest low 14s ,13ks.
tenis elbow playing up ,i was up at 400 am fishing caught 5lb barble and few chub but fishing seems to affect my elbow.
scores of late very low seem to be having bad spell.
only spinning saturdays, may have to increase to twice a week to increase scores.
but i think i will do this later in year just in case theres a comp
not all bad though metal seems ok 12900 today.

gym i think is slowing me down ,scores very low ,having to try really hard to carry on spinning after spinning 13ks .last 3 sessions scores getting better but have to spin for well over hour to get any thing good.

also have to do 30s to get going and got new rec left 30s of 6440.

sorry to hear about your plastic speed but your 30s are very good and your metal scores still seem to be going well so maybe you just need to ease off the gym a bit any way good luck with your next sessions i hope you can get back to 15k

I just want to remind you of two things Paul;
1) When James started going to the Gym a lot his speed deteriorated somewhat, partly perhaps because he was concentrating on the Gym more and not being bothered about Powerballs, partly perhaps because the increased muscle bulk slowed him down. However, he came back with a 15.6k, so it can't have been all bad.
2) Last time you had a bad spell and contemplated giving up altogether, you came back a few weeks later and made some good improvements and you ended up spinning 15.5k.
Just two things to keep in mind when things aren't going so well for you. ;)

Tim is spot on. You can get back to 15.5K just as I'm sure I could. It just takes determiantion and perseverence. Neitehr I have at the moment sadly, but they are the 2 keys factors.
