View Full Version : how to build up your pecks using a powerball technique?
Id like the build up my pecks as they are smallish :(
Is there a technique out there that can help build my pecks up over a period of time.
Any help would be appreciated.
Cheers

Try powerballing with your arm straight down your side with your palm facing inward towards your body. Keep your shoulder/elbow/arm right tight up against your body while powerballing in clockwise and counterclockwise directions. This should be quite effective in activating your pectorals. Be warned though, your whole arm/shoulder will get tired very quickly in this position.

My pecs have improved slightly over the years from Powerballing, but if you want to make a difference you'd probably be better off doing push-ups or bench-press, or some exercise with specifically targets the pecs. Powerball is really mainly for arms only, shoulder down to fingers. ;)

You could lay down with your arms facing upwards towards the ceiling and spin while doing little mini-reps with the powerball! :)
Try using benchpress with weights that you can do reps well with...Because doing more reps will tone your muscles faster than using hearvier weights.. Doing only one or two reps with heavie weaights will increase your peck strength if thats your goal :)
I always recommend 'butterfly' weights, whilst tensing your pectorals these are excellent for toning :)
Also try using your powerball in a sort of arm wrestlnig postion whilst stood up, at about a 90' degree whilst tensing the pectoral side that your arm is on. So if your powerballing your left arm, tense your left pectoral :)

I think push-ups are the best for building pecs if you do not have a bench-press available. Then, of course follow-up your push-ups with a Powerballing session to see if you break any of your previous records. :)
Always Powerballing,
