when i read the forums, then everyone do those one hour runs like 1-5 min with one hand and then 1-5 min with the other hand. when I once did the 1 hour run, then i didn't switch my hands. is the switching better or what?

I personally can't go for more than a minute or two without having to change hands, because my hand starts to ache. Even when I did 24-hours non-stop I still changed hands lots. Some people go slower, and for longer each hand, but I find changing every 30 seconds to a minute is about right for me and the speed I want to go at.
it always depends, if it endurance run, you would like to bouth see:
1) the endurance of each hand; which also causes it to buff up... since youre presicing the exercise on one hand...
2)the most speed you achive with bouth hands; which is globally to check youre top endurance abilities
Hope ive helped :)

Ron

but which one is better, long low speed run or shorter higher speed runs? I mean 15-60 mins or 60,90 sec runs?

Well, some will disagree with me on this one, 'Long runs' are no use for high speed scores and will just weight you down. I personally prefer doing short endurance 30/60/90s because Its much more effective for my overall performance. Long endurance runs will help will long endurance scores and maybe 90s runs but for speed they are useless. (For me that is :))
Personally I like to feel the burn. When I do endurance runs I will change hands ever 15-30 seconds. Longer than that I can't keep the speed up shorter and I don't get the burn.
I'm the opposite to Pete my speed peaks after 5 or 6 90's runs.
Hour long runs don't do much for my speed. I don't think they hurt it but I don't think they improve it. I'm aiming to improve my 90's scores when i do those.
I think they are beneficial in increasing strength so you can hold your speed run a little longer and give the counter a chance to register.

Hi
It depends on what you're looking for.. for longer term benefits go for long runs to build up strength and endurance but if you're just in it for gadget then short bursts trying to beat high scores are fine :)
