I thought its about time to update you about my history and current record... hang tight its gonna be a bumpy ride...
Somewhere in my home, At March:
My friend introduced me to the powerball for the first time...
he brought it for a week, but I could'nt get a record...
Couple of weeks later, Ive been spinning it to a top speed of 7200... quite bad for a starter at my age...
Its month of May now:
my friend had out of his ball so he gave it to me...
Ive been working hard all day and night with it, got up to 8700 top speed with it, then two weeks later I had 8921, 3 weeks later I got up to 9300, That ends my records for that month...
Its June:
Ive had scores with my friend, we were battling against each other, he had 9500, then Ive passed him with 9686 then right away 9761, day later he broke my record at school with 9883 then right away 10186... Ive felt so bad that hes topped the 10k, Ive been working hard to get up to 9700 so I almost gave up..
Progress of July& August:
Ive been at my cousin house for the summer vacation... Ive had up to 9900 at his house at July, then couple of tries I had 10252 and then 10325 (at July)..
Im back at my home now (start of August) then Ive broke my rec for about 2 or 3 times, with 10568 10670 then topped up with 10886...
somwhere around there I got up to 10921 with my right hand (even though im left handed) all these records up to here were at my left hand (except the 10325 one...)
August 13th: Send powerball to rpm sports for repairs,
August 26th?: powerball arrived to rpm sports....
October 3rd: powerball returned and I almost had my sessions from zero, since I have no other powerball to use...
October (some day...):
returned to school and me and my friend started with the new ball that Philip kindly send to me.
weve been practising for awhile...
same day I had score of 11014 (nailed 11k yay!)
retruned day later to school, my friend had 11014 too (wierd huh? same score haha!) then that ******* break it with 11105 -_-"
returned to home, had alot of time free to use the powerball, went outside house and I had score of 11253 (break me now, ya foo')
day later returned to school with the new score, my friend just could'nt nail it :)
then (This sunday) I gave my other friend the ball (the one who had 11900 rec), retruned my home pballess :( but I had the stressball as an exchangement for it... (not much satisfying but still helps alot with the grip!)
day later he told me he has'nt nailed 12k yet so I gave him another day with it...
Today!: my friend returned the ball, WRECKED :X there were sounds of plastic roughing out badly inside the ball, we tried to pull out scores but it was too tough the ball slips away and barely speeded up...
had up to 10800 today with it then I returned my home, on the way back:Highscore!: 11320 :P
got home, took the gripband off, and I was surprised to see, with a DeJa Vu, that the sphere is slightly opened to the sides, probably the ball crashed while he had his go and caused it to open up, I opened the sphere to clean the dust out of it, there was alot of it inside,
foo-upped the rotor to get all the dusty out of it,
then I gave it a test run (few minutes ago) it seems to be fine, theres just a little squeek out of it when I use my rh but im sure it will sort out with time, like any other problems...
Thats it for now, Im hoping I will break my other friend's record, so generally im aiming towards the 12k..

Techno broke down again, faking scores and stuff... vibrates alot more then before and when i finish using it my hands feel scratchy =X
ill send it asap to Ireland...
I missed the postal open time... so ill have to check tommorow, if it will be open since its holliday =S
I don't have a techno for that reason..., it's very easy to break

Perhaps we should all write powerball related auto-biographies and amass them all together into one book. :p
Ronasor, its always good to have one "junk ball" to loan to friends, cause they're inevitably going to break it! :rolleyes:
Except them rare cases, I.E Peter Mayhew, i Give him my Powerball, he gets 14260.... so either way make sure you give them a crap ball or they either break it or thrash you :o

Right now I cant even score beyond 9.7k hehe its quite ironic..
Im trying to pass the time with my ps2 but its broken too... somthing wrong with the spindle rotor... (somone told me that..) so part of the games I insert usually dance inside the ps and couldnt read...
hope this week will soon end... it looks like ever =O
Update: found my old rotor somewhere around my house... gladly it had brand new support ring and it runs smoothly right now...
i got new highscore.. 11480 lh and 4950 30's... you know 30's at techno is quite annoying since it starting to count your score as soon as your over 6k... which makes quite a difference =/
and by the way, the friend i have which had the 11105 rpm score, passed me and my other friend with the 11.9k rpm with 12064, were doing head to heads so now he knows he can rest quite alot :D

I just wanted to ask how's powerballing with a techno.:confused:
I used to believe that a technos aren't something special though quite recently a friend of mine told me they're quite interesting...:)
Well, I can tell you its not recommenced to start with techno, (as in if youre willing to buy a model with a counter) because it dont have the counter on its back, its way more comfortable than the other models, but still, making the scores with it is quite hard, some people that got 13k+ got with the techno only 12.5k.. so I say although its not a fast model, its more resistant than other models (except metal of course) which gets your training a bit extra of muscle building ;).
basicly im willing to buy a siggy just to make higher scores, and get used to the counter, nothing more.

So with a techno you have less vibrations?:confused:
somtimes i think of "more" vibrations because i had my cousin regular pro just for awhile, and it was brand new so i cant tell exactly =/.
duo runs are excellent with techno's but the problem is that the score is quite low, but yet again its more comfortable than a counter-equipped powerball thats why i keep use it for the time being... also because i dont have any other ball :D

I just asked that because right now i'm facing some problems with vibrations.So i just wondered which model can resist to more and long sessions:confused: (except the metal :D )
well eventually any model will occur with vibrations ^_^
I think that because that the techno fins are "inside" as in built behind a covering cap and not sticking out from the rotor, it could mean that it has higher durability than the other models, but still, if you want a noisy model pick this one :D
i think its even more noisy than the screamer version :D
Also ill like to update;
Ive gotten a skin burn while using the techno over 11k while holding the rotor upside down, so when I hold it, the skin between my index finger and my thumb got burnt out and now its difficult scoring higher scores, so im waiting for it to recover and training my right hand for now although I give few speed runs to my left, but no successive over 11100 :)

I recommend you the 250hz Pro (regulars), now the rotor is better, with bulks fins. I have 1 rotor like that and have passed like 4 months of intense sessions and ed techs and it's working ok ;)

Neons are a little slower than regulars. Have fun with it :D
don't forget some may say they got their high scores with neons ;)
well, anything could be better than my techno right now, also because i lent it and also because i want higher scores :D
The sig ball has arrived to my mail post.. but they will deliver mail and other contracts at 12pm and the post is closing down at 1pm... I hope Ill be able to make it today :D

Guess I wont make it today... hate thursday's... early post close times... guess Ill get it tommorow.. (thought Ill go get shower today with good feelings that I have sweat for a purpose...). This day is like a casino gambling... youll make it very few times, but youll loose alot most of the times :D
I want to bye a Signature too..., maybe in the future with a screamer : P
PS: Probably your record will improve:) , you said before that your techno was not very well.
PS2: A few months ago, I did more with my Neons than regular. Like 300 rpm more :D (now I make more with Regular, the sound and vibration of both balls when are at high speed are very different)

damn I hate it when I write alot and the site wont let it up... Ill write again,
The ball has arrived and I got it for about 10 minutes... I started to make comparements with the techno... the techno is such a screamer compared to this perfect ball.. this one produces light easier to start (dont have to know at which direction to start) also you can start it with a lighter thumb flick... the highest score Ive got so far is 10894 but I guess its because I havnt been working on my techno so much... (family complained about the noise so I couldnt work it out, also Ive found a huge rut at the topper shell which makes the most of the rougher noise, im rotating the ball manually and it stuck literally at a specific location so Ive tell what its going through by any time I use it..)
Also I would like to thank Rpm Sports and especially Philip for taking care of any of my problems, then this one is for you :D

The lights are got my and my friends attention... no way that youll see this one and not say WOW :D so I recommence buying it asap Xaverr :D
also Ive found out that when I start spinning the ball on my right hand while the counterweight is facing the ground will make me higher scores instead of spinning it while the counterweight is at the top of the sphere...
mostly I make scores like 10500 but when its facing down I get 11000... try it out :D (mybe it could be that its because im wearing it to an other rotation that im currectly using..)
I had 13500 with my cousin at 90's but on mine the score stands on 12400... hand is quite swollen so Ill take a rest tommorow to let the wounds settle down :D

Keep spinning, you should improve a little with your new ball. Try to warm up with your old ball and just use your siggy for speed records... ;)
The old one vibrates alot... I tried sandpapering it but its still no use...
mybe Ill send it back when ill have a time.
quick update: just've achieved 14273 on 90's..
I think I'll start doing some endurance, im sure it will effect the speed scores to the good way :D

That's true Ronason, first try to catch nice scores with 30sec, then with 90'
Yes, but don't over do it with endurance.:) Practise on both,speed and endurance.:) I think a mixture of these will bring new high scores;)
I know im capable of least 12k... but its my technique though, I need a volunteer who could assign himself to be my personal trainer..
I know I have a problem at my technique but I dont have a clue how to solve it... when I reach 11,100~ I feel that that any movement that I add will resolve in loosing sync and I guess thats why im not even trying of getting higher scores...

5k in 30 sec??, I think that you can do much more than 11.4k in run speed..., try to see a lot of different Powerballers videos and try with their technique, maybe one of them will be more confortable that the one you have now... ;)

Ill tell you whats my problem, whenever I reach 10800+ im starting to get tremendous pain at my wrist bones and not at the muscle so it hurts pretty much itself... my wrist is very thin so it could be the reason why I cant make that much speeds :( so whenever it start to get painful im letting loose my grip immediatly... and also couple of times my grip is slipping away so the ball looses sync very frequently...
bah thats why im dissapointed from myself :o
also Ive found out that I accelerate pretty slowly... if I knew how to accelerate correctly I would've got 12k in no time...

hehe my siggy is fulled of dust, you can see it very clearly in the lights, Im trying to clean it with earpicks but it barely touches the ball... the dust is mainly located near the counter and the topper shell so I cant do much, if it was possible to take out the counter from the outside it could be helpful =/,

Hi, i didn't understand the thing with cleaning... if you take PB apart its easy to clean it so wheres the prob? I cant help with the wrist pain.. no idea.
About the speed, i had similar problem with my left not so long ago... because i trained in speed mainly right and my left wasnt used to high speed and when i tried to go higher it was painful and i couldnt control the PB but i knew i had the strenght to do it (i was happy to have 12 k that time). I started training my left with the UPC and a lot of 30s i guess that helped me a lot but i lost my technique and speed in my right :D but now my left is catching to the rights 1 and half month old record...

the prob is that the sphere is wielded together way more harder than usual, thats what im saying, im standing on it with a foot in the air and the second foot on it and it holds me, I tried giving it a hit with my hand but it left some serius injuries there...
compared to the techno, which I barely standed on it and it opened up (even with the screws are attached.)
hope ull understand it better now, because my explenations sux ;)
ill work alot on upc's while im at Poland :D

hmm, never happened to me before, i open powerballs with hands i dont need to stand on it. Even the new balls that have never been opened before. strange.

Improved speed score to 11361, my thumb lower bone hurts bad... thats one of the main reasons I cant reach high speeds... when i get higher speeds it slips away and that bone takes all the mass over it, eventually it hurts bad and I loose my grip.... probably because my hand is hell small, I barely reach the gripband with my index finger while holding it firm... if the model was a little bit smaller :D...

yeah Ill do that, the problem with my hand is, that the problem fade away fast, and reappeare the same way ;P
managed to open the ball (at last ^_^, used hammer ;/ one strike and it opened up) im soon uploading pics of the dirt it contained, the topper sphere is a sharp pic compared to the bottom sphere (which is blurry ;) ).
Also, ive noted some cracks all over the fins, ill upload them soon, should I fill a form quickly? :D

Uh oh, Ive opened the sphere up and walked with it on my hand, the rotor slipped off the topper shell and crashed into the floor, the ball makes more vibrations right now but also it gained some good resistance and make me score 11k quite fast :D
Wow:D It surely needed a bit of cleaning:D ;) And you can get 11k with a vibrating ball?Then why don't you go for 11.5k with a good one?;) :D
the problem that was with it before that the resistance of it was quite bad hehe, it was too smooth and slipped away when i gained too much speed, now its right about it but the vibrations are quite annoying, it makes your hand scratchy and most of the times will cause you to use more force than usual, ive sent a form towards rpm sports, i hope they will catch it soon.

ive managed to improve my siggy score upto 11487.. passed the techno score at last ;)
im quite pissed off because ive used to try having my best, the ball no doubt needs repairs and im too lazed to send it off.. my cousin dropped it and it started to make some sounds... the sphere tracks for no doubt are damaged (it makes annoying click when compleating rotation above 10k speeds which i think cause me to loose sync, not the opposite.)
and now its really freakin hot in israel, as in 33~40C in normal days, so you can understand the sweating ratio... which i found a nice solution for it...
LATEX GLOVES! yes, the ones that the doctors usually use when they check up on you... it sits very comfty in your hand and produces maximum grip... unless it will start gaining some of your sweat liquids and eventually will make your hand itch... it will be untill you wont be able to stand it anymore ;)
Nice to hear from you again Ronasor, you better get cracking though (even though the heat of Isreal)! Most everyone since last time you posted has improved dramatically!
See if you can fill in the repairs form for he new tracks you need (check to make sure there isn't anything else broken that needs replacing so the team in Ireland can get all your parts to you in one shipment).

and since I had a very big school season (which is the last one, finally 12 years of school are about to be over!) I couldnt even let a split sec away for hobbies ;).

A very good and valid point! :) You might also ask at your national PB forum if there is one.
the national pb site is wierd, theres no scoreboard... and nothing else, just a link to another site that sells other gadgets among them... the pb... hehe

Not as inconvenient as having a single track sent, then opening it up and then needing a rotor sent, then removing the support ring and finding washers need to be sent, then finding out the support ring doesn't work with the washers or rotor because it is too worn and then having a support ring sent...I'd highly recommend double checking all parts before requesting parts to be sent! Just my 2 cents...
As for volunteers...you can ask AM_ to fly in from Russia with Tim's ball:D He seems to be doing quite well now that he's gotten his technique and grip and all in order;)

Can you say how old the ball is? It's probably because of elevated temperatures all year round. Keeping it in the fridge could probably yield longer battery life. And would give a nice feeling of coolness every time you take it out. :)
ive sent a request for sphere parts only yesterday no visual damage on the rotor... i hope they will get it soon :)

im having a pretty good session today, im reaching 11400+ in every third run, 11.5k is close guys :D, what is wierd now that my left hand is buffed so hard that i cant feel my hand when im typing :D
At freakin last... I got up yesterday with a feeling of "today is the day".
after having some sessions with the pb, I went to the shower, but before I enter, I gave 120% of myself with these words in my head:"im not giving up untill theres a new record", after I got 5 litres sweated of myself, I came up with a new score, 11695 :). after I hit it, the next one came up was 11684, 11484, 11510.. and so on, the thing that made me really annoyed that after I hit these so-called "high" scores, my pb is (again,) generating noises that sounds like a friction-knock sound, which I havnt introducted yet with other of the powerballs that I have used... It won't get fully fixed and thats why I have asked for replacements few days ago... I hope it will be easy disconnecting the counter though =\.
Go go go! 12K next week ok? OK!
I hope so, right now I have a big blister between my index finger and thumb... its really hard gripping ball right now, mybe ill wait till the replacements arrive :D
Let's have a good rest, recover from blister and smash that ball to 12K ;) :D

Nice work Ron. My 2nd highest score ever was while spinning with Jimmy and Hava, just seems to be something extra with a bit of motivation. Shame I couldn't have hung around. As Tim said 12k next time.

What sort of routine do you follow in a session? Do you do a proper warmup? Do you mix one-handed 30s and 90s runs in the session?

I used to do only speed runs, and not that many...somehow that still got me to 14.4. (20 to 30 runs)
Now I still do only speed runs (for my speed sessions) but I do lots (60-80 runs).
These days though, I've been so busy its hard to find time to even make cold runs...... :(
Well, im usually starting off with speeds, just to get some scores, if I get 11.5k above, Ill start the warmup by getting my left (and strong) hand till I wont quite feel it, as in spinning in the different direction as endurance and afterwards using my regular direction as endurance, guess thats what that have got me the 11937 score, I tried it and its kinda new, looks like it improves my grip a little bit, guess im gonna trash the 12k pretty much soon... just my timing to use the pb kinda sux, today im little bit busy at math at the morning, Ill host the event and study to the math finals tommorow, so I wont be able to join it :(

my cousin left his 250hz pro at my room and went home far away... its a good chance for me to score 12k with the 250hz arsenal :D, the problem is that his counter is out of battaries and i will be needing to monitor the scores through the mic&program, which is quite annoying to use :o
his 250hz pro isnt in a top shape... but i hope i will be able to pull of 12k at it since its supposed to be slightly faster than the neons ;)

Good luck. Chances are the 250Hz will be worn, but in good shape, and you'll get the analyser program way over 12000. Go go go!! :D
actually, i have a feeling that if i was improving my right hand, i could've reached 12k long ago, the problem is that my right is the stronger but less endurant&techniqued hand, so its really hard to pull it of on that, didnt got 11k with it yet... also theres a feeling of a "slippery support band" mybe you know what i mean... that when you run the ball you feel the support band is more slippery then it was before and its quite lack of friction... =\

LOL that's happened so many times to me, usually its a very good score that I'd really rather not have erased!
Ron turn the gain down on your powerballyzer to about 2 it will look much nicer
well, usually at high gain you can spot the ball's frequency entirely without missing a spot, so by that its the most accurate way to tell your score ;)
hopefully ill get new bats for the 250hz pro counter and score 12k with it on it so ill be sure im hitting it correctly :D

yesterday had a very cold session, my top speed score was 10800, felt i was exhausted, well it came true, i went to my aunt's wedding and after i danced a little bit.. returned to the table with cramps at my whole leg muscles, after about 5-10 minutes, i fainted out :/, i guess the astrology forecast was currect about that was a bad day going out...
today im quite better thank god... hopefully the neurologist inspections about me will be alright, still need to make an appointment though...

Fainting at a wedding...I thought that was something only the groom would do after a lot of heavy drinking the night before.

well i had a slight drink, but it wasnt for that... since i wasnt drinking liquids at all for the whole day, guess i was dehydrated and thats my prospection for why i ended up that way :/

im stuck... gaining ~11.6k max with the signature right now but hitting over 12k with the pro one... ouch =\
changing my attitude to the ball, starting to pull off more endurance runs but not counting them, as for training the hand.
mybe that way my hand will be capable of higher speeds and hopefully 12krpm will flash on my signature soon :)
also tried 60's for the first time, 7800 lh, 8000 rh (which is wierd since im left handed, seems that rh is more endurantable than left)
and managed 9060 both hands, all grip. :D

couple of speed runs today, had average of above 11600 and topped at 11865.. looking good, hope the neon 12k will come out soon :).
Also the ball has started to make rougher grinding noises, hope it will fix with use, and I assume its a bit cracked but untill it really irritates me, I wont ask for replacements.
Havnt touched the ball since the last date I posted the score report.. knowing theres a faster model somewhere out there takes the winds out of my sails... mybe if the lmetal will be available ill get one and start hitting out better scores, also Ive stopped my pb session to do some pushups and triceps excersises so it will help me improving my speeds (when ill need forearm working ill do powerballing :D )

250Hz pro is faster as well. you'll easily get 12k on one of them.
I got my cousin last rotor that Ive replaced with a new one... mybe ill put it in the signature sphere and see how it goes... just a matter of technique right now, dont have a clue what to do.
Had a quick spin yesterday (i think the signature had spider webs on it :eek:)
Hit 11853 (new record after my 11.9k was wiped...) good to see that im still in my shape.
