View Full Version : Just got a powerball today.
My "sport" and hobby is balisong manipulation (butterfly knife tricks). While doing double balisong routines (one knife in each hand) I realized that my left hand would tire just couldnt keep up with my right. So last week I ordered a powerball to strengthen my left arm, wrist, hand, and everything over there. Today it arrived and I've been playing around with it for the last while.
So far I've gotten 11,222 as a high score and 4,119 on the 30 second mode. This thing really makes my deltoids and forearms burn. Also, if any of you are interested in seeing some balisong tricks, check out my youtube page (http://www.youtube.com/profile_videos?user=entropyspigot). Have a good day.:p

Hey Entropy, and welcome to the forums. I used to have one of those knives when I was a kid...think I saw one being used on a film and thought, "That looks cool, I think I'll get one, knives are a lot easier to get hold of now than they will be in the future!", but I never got any further than a simple open/close motion. :o
It was "The Outsiders" I think.
Good scores there to start with. :)
Wow the most impressive thing is that you still have all your fingers.:eek::eek:

I think the idea is that if you always hold a specific one of the handle-halves, the sharp part of the blade won't ever touch your fingers, only the blunt side...is that right?

Thats right for the most part. There is also some cases where you can hold the bite handle and do whats called a zen ricochet. Thats where you gotta decelerate the incoming blade and opposite handle, "lightly" let it contact your skin, & accelerate it in the opposite direction. But you definitely dont wanna hold the bite handle then try a rollover or something like that. :D Probably the worst injury I've had is getting the knife stuck 1/4" into my hand just below my pinky. My pinky got all cold and purple and was sore for a few days afterwards.
Anyways I've got my high score up to 11,309 & 4244 on the 30 second mode.:D
