Hi lazyboi13,
The only thing you have to do it's to practise on weekdays and rest at weekends. That's what i do and it works.:) :) :)

well, its all technique.. if youll master a specific technique ull see your speed coming up and up.. and about your age it doesnt matter how old are you, look at pete... hes about 15 with score of 14k ;)
first of all dont try nailing high scores, it will effect your wrist and ull see that wrist burns are starting to become more frequent... so just try endurance, not more then that...
good luck

Hey Jake

Mastering the technique of powerballing isn't very hard if you work at it and practice correctly. It's all about getting your muscles used to the motion of the ball and using them to their full potential, even if you have little muscular mass or lots it really doesn't matter. No technique then you won't succeed. Also don't over train, your young like me and I find that 2 or 3 times a week is more then enough. You may want to do a little more sessions then that to start off with but you don't want to over do it.

Even though I haven't seen a video of you powerballing I would say that your not using your arm enough. Try and introduce the use of your arm at higher speeds. Start with wrist rotations then when you feel your at your maximum potential with that introduce the arm and you will definitely get a higher score. It works for me very well, I have to adapt how I'm going to use my body for different speeds e.g. I'd have to use my arm more for a 12K score, bring the shoulder in and a little pulsing for 13K, and start using my body for 14K.

So the main thing here is to get the technique sorted, make sure you feel comfortable in keeping the ball at speed. You might want to try some one-handed 30 seconds runs, these will pump your arms up nicely for the speed runs. :)

Good Luck.

Pete.

the only tip i can give you is if you have time then you can spin for as long as you can withstand :D till you find the correct technique for you, with the correct technique 10 k won't be a problem.
