View Full Version : JayM scores (M.E. sufferer)
First of all hello eveyone, got my powerball just over a week ago as i was told it would be a controlled way to rebuild my strength as i have had M.E. for 2 years now. Used to be a very strong climber and now im weak as!! But i would really encourage anyone in a similar situation to give it a try as in the short time iv had mine i already notice a difference in my arms which i love! its superb!:o
Got my first one out of the box just over a week ago and hit 9200 but also manages to rip my hands to bits in blisters and give myself dead arms! So after a slow start i got back to it and today i hit 12300 (RH) and 10597 (LH) so im pleased! nothing spectacular compared to the high scores here but as with everyone that powerballs im hooked! so i hope to be posting some better scores in the next few weeks;)
Cheers Jamie

Hi Jamie, glad to hear you're getting on well with the Powerball, and that it's making a difference. 12300 in just over a week is excellent...way above the norm. Stick with it and do some strength endurance runs and you'll be heading towards 13000 in a few weeks I expect! :)
Hi thanks! whats the proper way to do 30 or 90 second runs though? do u have to start the powerball in that time aswell or is there a way of starting the timer when ur already up to speed? Il definetly give it a go though as i really want to hit 13K any advice would be greatly appreciated cheers guys!

There's not really a "proper" way to do the 30, 60 and 90s runs, but if you want to get the best score possible, just do this;
1) Get the counter into the 30, 60 or 90s mode
2) Start it spinning. (After a second or so the countdown will start)
3) Get the Powerball going as fast as you can
4) Loosing as few revs as possible, press ON/CLR to reset the countdown
5) Spin the Powerball for the 30, 60 or 90s duration. (I either use the stopwatch on my phone or a counter on the computer to keep track of the time...saves having to look at the Powerball counter every now and then.)
6) Get your breath back! :)

Hey JayM, welcome to the forum! Glad to hear Powerball is helping with your condition.
finally got up to 11k with the left hand! 11257 but my right hand still wont go past 12300! bad times
Well done on LH progress.
Don't worry about the RH score, you'll improve there another time.
Keep spinning.
;):D
After a really annoying week where i have been close to my high score but never getting past it, i hit 12347 and then went on to improve it again to 12411 today so not a massive improvement its a start atleast!
Took it apart to clean it yesterday aswell, was easier than i thaught, not much dirt but atleast i now know how to do it for the future:rolleyes:
Slow progression but im gettin closer to 13k i spose! up to 12639 and left hand up to 11579 so cant complain! Just got an electric starter aswell as i dont like the strings so heres hoping in the next few weeks the readouts will start with 13s, 14s would be nice but il settle for 13...
For weeks i have sat still only hitting 12400 consistently but finaly today my high score has moved up and about time too! I was considering how far i could throw my powerball earlier today but not anymore! its moved up to 12651 and left is up to 12570 roll on 12700:p
Weird day! im right handed and i have just set my new speed record with my left hand!! 12734 whats that all about!!??
Ball broke last sunday was gutted as it was vibrating violently! emailed powerball monday got a reply on tuesday and my new rotor and support band are here already!! So just want to say thanks, amazing customer service and didnt want to let it go unmentioned so thanks!
Will it need a while to be worn in again? i presume it wont go as fast for a few days now until iv used it a wile J
Finally did it! first of all 13070 then 13125! Role on 13500:D
