Hi! Looking to strengthen my hands and wrists to improve my karate I bought a powerball and having been playing with it all day. My forearms are certainly burning, but I was just wondering if there were any martial artists on this forum who have been using a powerball for a longer period who might give me some ideas about what kind of improvement I might reasonably expect.

I bought one for the sole purpose of strengthing my arms for martial arts. Even though I have not used it long, I amd already noticing stronger more fluid motions, whereas I may have been a little shaky before. The PowerBall offers strength trainning in awkward, constantly changing angles that gives me a unique workout. I tend to use mine on and off all day, typically putting in 4-5 solid hours of use per day while I'm working.

If nothing else, you will develop an "Iron Grip."

If you box or wrestle, you'll notice the change fairly quickly. Your wrist will become much stronger, and your gripping power will increase more than you ever thought possible, assuming you use it regularly. It's the best forearm workout I've ever had, and I hope to look like Popeye someday ;)
