Ok, this is my own thread of progress. The best it can do is serve to motivate me further to the point where i'll be breaking down all the barriers and smashing world records. The worst is for it to become a demoralising hotbed of bile and hatred by means of abuse and attacks of sarcasm aimed at my lack of ability  :D ;)

Just kidding, neither of the above will happen ;) :)

New personal records: -

18-Apr-2007:
350hz LH 9905
350hz 30s RH 4228 LH 3679

I'm surprised I was able to better the LH speed score, since I slammed the rear hatch door of a car down on my left middle-finger yesterday. That hurt, not recommended

I gather you only got the metal and not the plastic then?

No, mate, i've got the plastic, just haven't broken any records with it since joining the forum. The plan is to concentrate on the metal for a while before trying the other one again.

Well done on the new high scores.

You should soon be over 10k and on your way to 11k.

"High" somehow seems to be the wrong word to use in this case, perhaps something like "mediocre" fits better for now? :D ;)

Hmmm, I might even have a lowest record with my LH 350hz 30s... ahh well, never mind :o :)

What's your best 30s on the metal, One-Eye? I'm guessing you'd have to be at least in the 5,000's, right?

Those metal scores are OK my first attempts were along those lines.
I find metal much more technique sensitive once you get the hang of it I won't be suprised to see 11k scores very soon:rolleyes:

Heh, I'm not so good on enduro as I am on speed.

30s metal I haven't kept any records but from memory I have scored in the 4.5k-4.8k range.

Planning to work on enduro a bit more specifically in the near future. ;):D

Ahh, ok, that's good to know - seems like i'm not so far off the mark then, cheers mate :)

Had another go on the metal 30s today to improve that LH score to 3954. Got to rest up for a couple of days - hands are stinging a bit too much now and need to recover.

Yep, you're only a couple of hundreds above me  with these!! That's what you get for slacking off, One-Eye ;) ;) :D

New left-hand speed records :) :) :-

350hz - 10,055 (Finally got into 5 figures  )

Then, since my left hand felt in good form, I had a go on the plastic and this sequence happened...

11,450; 11,304; 11,867; 11,755; 11,823; 11,744; 11,745

I've yet to crack 12,000 with my left, but I persisted and got this...

12,038; 12,050; 12,096; 12,144 :)

Most amazing thing is that my left hand is so much better than the right at the moment. Can't even get into the 12's with my right hand :(

Well done a nice healthy sequence of score in the 12K bracket with weaker hand. :)

Nice going on the score there. Really nice progression on the left hand.

Coming along nicely there. I'm thinking it won't be long until there is some fairly impressive old scores coming along there:D

Not done much powerballing this week (or internetting for that matter), but today i've managed two new records :) : -

Metal RH: 10,908 (up 244)
Plastic 30s RH: 5,324 (up 171)

Well Done, very close to 11k with that darn metal ball. Should be just around the corner.

I've not posted here for nearly two months (mainly due to there being ZERO progress in all that time :( ), but I couldn't help mention finally cracking 11k on the metal :D

11,234 (RH) !! A leap of 326 on my previous best

The thing about it was that something happened in that session that i'd never felt before, it was as if the only muscles I had tensed were in my hand/wrist with the rest of me being quite loose and the thing just took off! I heard it and felt it - really quite astonished actually :) ;)

So, I thought i'd try the plastic too - I haven't even got close to breaking my old pb with that (12,652).

Very first go I got 12,710, absolutely chuffed that finally some progress after 66 days of none!! :) :)

Then...omg 13,018!!!

Once again, the feeling was significantly different to what i'd experienced before.

I know these aren't terribly impressive scores, but for me they signify a change that appears to be key to registering good scores in powerballing. My body must have finally adapted to what is required. It's all good :D :D

WHOA, congrats!! Incredible improvement on both the 250hz and 350hz. You seem to do well on the metal compared to your plastic scores.

Nice improvement. Getting to that 13k mark is definitely a good accomplishment. You body certainly is becoming accustomed to the movement now, and you can now start to build upon your technique to get even higher scores.

Always Powerballing,

Thanks guys, appreciate all the comments. Looking forward to more progress this weekend after some rest after powerballing for 4 straight days :)

Interesting. I think you'll notice the next big difference, (when you're about 1,000 rpm further up the ladder on both Plastic and Metal), is that your entire arm and perhaps upper torso will feel tensed, and your arm will just feel like it's vibrating.

I can't achieve any sort of high speed with my body all loose these days. :)
