With nice scores like that for both left and right you should be doing a lot more 'dualies'.
I see you already have a respectable dualie score, but if your getting well into 13k with both hands I reckon you should be able to do a 26k dualie score or somewhere close. ;):D

Well the old bored so i thought of this thread is proving to be a great warm up for me. Still don't have 8225 but did manage some new high scores

Decent endurance scores too.
An area I'm lacking in somewhat, will work on it more when I feel I can't go any faster on speed runs. ;):D

Nice 90s scores too...are you going to submit the 17k score? Do you want me to do it for you? (I can quite easily duplicate your current highest 90s and amend the details.) Was it with the "Edouard Technique"?

Cheers. 362nd so far, but loads of room for improvement, you'll be in Division 1 and perhaps even the Top 100 before you know it! ;)
That 16994 video is enough (over 98%) to approve your 17k 90s score by the way.

You have good coordination for both hands and I reckon you should be able to break 26k when conditions are a little more agreeable for Powerballing.

Not so far off 26k, only about another 200rpm per hand.
See how I get on tonight, if I get nowhere on speed I'll switch to endurance for a couple of weeks and see where that gets me.
Feeling like I should be doing 17k plus scores.
Given your speed scores i agree. I found Adrena1in's advice of treating it like a middle distance event instaed of a sprint very helpful. If you go out balls and all you die in the but early.
Indeed, a lot more tactical than you think endurance.
Need to give it some more practice in itself rather than just using it as warm up.

I found Adrena1in's advice of treating it like a middle distance event very helpful.I see 30s Endurance as like a 400 metre run - almost a sprint, but holding off just a little. 60s like a 600 metre - no-one does those! ;) And 90s like an 800 metre. :)

But you're gonna have to work to get longer endurance on your hands. I counted 6 changeovers - That's 3 more than Akis and Tim does. Everytime you change hands you lose a lot of revs. If you can bring it down to 4 or 5 changes you will see 17500+ no problem.

Agree with you there. That 90's was at the end of a one hour session and my left hand was struggling. I normally try to do a couple of 20 seconds on each hand to start but then I've got 16800 by changing every 10's as well I guess i need to find my niche

I have decided to spend the rest of the month working on my metal scores. I'm at 10514 at the moment and am hoping to get between 11500 and 12000
by the end of the month. Did you guys start off low on metal at the moment I'm nearly 3000 off my 250hz speed. I'm a similar build age height to you Adrena11n so I would be interested in your early metal experiences.

First day with a metal I scored high 9k's, within a week maybe 2 weeks I was into 11k's.
Got stuck just under 12k, at the same time I got stuck just under 14k on 250hz, for about 2-3 weeks.
Getting 12k scores pretty much every session with the metal now.
Good luck with it, I'm sure you'll get there soon. :)
Remember, a lot more of it is in the technique, which I still think I haven't got quite right yet. Just relying on brute force and ignorance mainly atm. ;) :D
Thanks guys. At the end of my first day of METAL MILITIA (insert death metal rattle) my score is up to 10721 but my little finger on the right looks like a train wreck 6 blisters. Oh well bandaids for the rest of the week!!

I was a bit disappointed I didn't get a new 250hz high as well. I feel the metal is helping my pulse technique but it doesn't always mean the score translates to plastic.

My week consists of two hours of rockclimbing, three hours of Karate, ! hour of resistance in gym. I drive 20-30min two and from work and use the metal during the drive spinning 5-7k 30 seconds per hand. And I do the BORIS (bored so i thought of this during the day between patients). What I posted is my hot mode when I'm going for records.
On another note don't you think it is daft it takes a month and a half to decide who makes the world cup final then the final is only one match not best of three?

Yea, intersting point to consider. I suppose most Cup tournaments work on that basis though. Maybe a better controlled 1 day system that has a year long competition, similar to the test matches?
Or maybe perhaps a 7 game playout like in the basketball and ice hockey arena's??:(
Had a hot mode tonight set out with the goal of getting 18k in strength and 14k in speed:rolleyes:. Interestingly enough tonights and last week when I got 17715 for 90's it was straight after an hour in the gym doing resistance work. Either i'm bludging at the gym or it's a great warm up.

Really nicely done! Awesome targets you hit there, absolutely brilliant.
Had a session tonight. No new records but my technique improvement has massively increased my average score i'm getting. Normally I'll average around 12.9 for my right and 12.7 for my left tonight I was consistently getting 13.3-13.5 for my right and 13.0-13.2 for my left.
My top was L 13414 R 13746
and some high 17k 90's and 6.1k -6.3k 30s
plus a 30's right hand 6168 gripper very happy
plus a 30's left hand 5830 gripper with blisters another improvement
My metal average was also 11.1k for both hands another big increase.
All in all a very satisfying night

Everyone's mentioning how awesome the 18k scores is, and though I agree it's a great score, it doesn't surprise me at all because you've been consistently putting out good 90s scores right from the start, so I was kind of expecting it.
I'm more impressed with the leap from 13681 to 14138 in speed!! :eek: That's just stunning. I went from a 2-year old record of 13579, to 13763 one evening, then a couple of weeks later, 13958 followed by 14076. I thought THAT was a good leap, but you made that look like a baby-step.
I see no reason why you shouldn't continue to 14500 speed and then passing me in 90s too. :o

Just sorted the scores out, and for a brief second you were a World Record holder! You'd submitted your 25k Dual-Hand score as a "Highscore", and I'd not noticed, so you were 9k ahead of Akis!! :D

Very good scores there...I'd actually expect your 30s score to be higher though. You're almost averaging 12k over 90s seconds now, and 6088 30s isn't a great deal faster. I reckon 6.4k 30s should be do-able by you. :)

I find it easier to use two hands, because by the time my right hand has done 15-20 seconds full speed it starts to get tired and drop in speed, so thats where i can take over with my left hand and push the speed up again.
I think 30s is a little bit too long for just one hand in my experience.

Thats my goal but as AV said I get about 20-25 seconds on a good day then it starts to die in the ass so 15 seconds each still gives me a better score.

yup it does, but I also prefer doing one handed 30s runs. It feels much more like an endurance run if you have to endure the burn ;). To be honest I don't think ive ever done a 30s using both hands, I hate having to switch, my one handed 30s stands at 6,152 (got that one today :D) so maybe I can add some revs on top of that if I swap hands near the end :cool:. Will have to try that out :D

If I start too fast I tire after 10 or 15 seconds. 20 seconds is usually when I start to slow down, but I figure if I gradually slow from, say, 13k to 11k in 10 seconds that's still averaging 12k. It's better than slowing briefly to about 8k and then struggling to speed it up again with my left...and as my left is so bad at the moment I'd probably only get it back up to about 12k anyway...therefore an average of about 11k for the final 10 seconds.
If I was balanced then 15 seconds with either hand would probably yield the best results.
Had a session tonight. Inspired by Wild Thunders 15008 I went looking for my inner Swede but only came up with brussel sprouts.
Left hand was on fire
New left metal 11367
New left plastic 13620
Both left and right got high 90's of 14679 and 14960
that was warming up but only 17865 for both hands.
Its funny how when you get a new record you get really upset by otherwise good scores

Funnily enough my left hand is really sore at the moment with pressure pain on the pads. Still managed a new record but I'm going to try:eek: to not do any speed runs or endurance for a couple ofweeks to see if it will get better.
Don't know how long that will last though
actually on that note i have been going for some rehab scores on my left hand the idea is to spin as slowly as possible no ed teching and the wrist has to be spinning

Great work, LTLFTC! Any improvement is a good thing, especially with the left hand. Soon you my have 14k with the left - a great achievement to have both hands going at 14k.
You managed to keep them pretty even too. I have work more on my left hand scores. 14804 is not really bad; pretty close to 15k, but I think with my recent improvements with my right hand, it's about time to catch up with the left a little. I should be able to knock 15k out soon on the left.

Had a session last night. Went in hoping for big things came out feeling dissapointed. was averaging 13.5k with both hands for speed. A 11.6k for metal. 17972 for 90's. 6350 for 30's.
I guess if I can take anything away from it for my 90's left and right handed warm ups I did 15340R and 15430L with ease. Both new highs oh well:o

The aussie team is such a dominating force at this stage, there was no way any other team could stand in their way. I'm glad Gilchrest eventually came to the party big time. Together with Hayden's knock against us in the group stages and Herschelle Gibbs' knock against you guys last year in the 438 run game, it was one of the 3 best knocks I have ever seen.

I'm no expert at enduro, but it appeared to me that you may have lost yourself a few rpm on some of your changeovers.

Had another mode tonight a little more positive. Right hand sucked around 13400 but new left hand record of 13815.
90's action wasn't that great considering righty but still managed a 17759. So hopefully a sign of things improving.
oh i was only 37 revs off my high score right hand on metal bizzare and did a new 90's metal was trying to grip but slipped the scond change and went for ed instead looked at 90's saw i had pressed the button mid way and still had 55
s left so kept going and got 15186
Hopefully you've turned a corner now Rob and heading back to top form.
Sounds like just about everything that could go wrong on that 90's metal run did. Worked out ok in the end though ;)

She's a funny thing the old powerball had a spin Friday night couldn't break 13k with my right. Picked it up on Sat watching the footy cold first spin 13205 first time ever a col spin over 13k left was 13050. went for a hot mode couldn't beat right got to 13.7 with left. Makes you laugh:rolleyes:

Well after a crappy session last night. Sore Left hand and a sore tendon/muscle in my right forearm. I have resigned myself to a long break. Am seeing the Physio tomorrow about the arm but will lay off for at least two weeks plus what ever he says. It is just too damn depressing not even being able to crack 13k with my right arm. Godd news is I've ordered a blue pro for when I get back into it. Something to look forward to;)

Had some accupuncture on my forearm last night. Actually I think it is more trigger point stimulation. Any way I've had it before but never in a place I coud see it. Dam they reall jamm that little sucker in. He is actually a family friend and I think he keeps tab of how many injections I've given him and he likes to even it up when I go to the Physio:rolleyes:

Well still in the time out corner with my right arm but it is coming along well. Have been running in my new ball with the left and am a little excited was hitting 13.2k cold at work. Last night watching the football (which we lost by one point buggers can't kick straight) I had a run with the left on my old ball and got 13850 which is probably in my top 5 scores ever so am quietly looking forward to next Tuesday. I've stopped calling it a cold mode too it is now officially a rebuilding period.

From my brief experimentation with it last night on 30s runs, when I was already pretty much spent after about 90mins of Powerballing, I could do consistently higher scores with (seemingly) less effort.
Not making any firm conclusion, not experienced enough at Ed-Tech yet, just reporting my limited findings so far. :o;)

HaHa I wouldn't say convert but when Endurance sucks and speed is on it's a nice way to compete. I'm still a gripper at heart. Anyway it's a part of powerballing and I want to be good at everything. It does reafirm my belief that there should be separtate boards. I think the Ed Tech is in a renaisence period and it won't be long before you will need to Ed to get into the top 10

Great scores, will have to try left hand soon and then the Quad run will let you know how l go. That is a top right hand double. Well l agree some protocol definitely required eg no support from the opposite hand at all etc etc.

Biggest problem with a quad run is starting the 4th PB.
Have tried a few times in the past, can do 3 no probs, but not managed to start the 4th yet.
You may have to have an assistant (like Gyro Jones) to start the balls for you.

Quad run is really tough to do by yourself although I guess it is possible. What you could do it start up two powerballs and hand them to someone else, then have them put them in your other hand after youve got the other two going. Unfortunately I don't have 4 regular powerballs, I'd have to borrow one of my friends'.

I've often thought that too but never really thought I could. So last night while watching Australia beat the All Blacks I had a session to see how long I could hold 10k speed for. I set out thinking 10-15 minutes. I stopped at an hour with
601200 revs and a feisty blood blister. I always find it interesting to see all the session scores in the order they were achieved...I tend to note down all mine as well, so I can see where the peaks were, and whether they were after a Strength Run or what. Better than just listing all the scores in incremental order I think.

Great hot mode there! My 30s record was also made on a day when LH was doing well, since a good LH is essential to record endurance scores. (not talking about Tim here :rolleyes:) Averaging 13k for 30 seconds is a good feeling isn't it? :cool: Now I can rarely even peak at 13k much less hold it for any length of time.

Also really got the whole body going on both left and right left has been good for ages but I have finally hit the technique on my right as well. Easy 13.7k regularly bit more praccy and I have a feeling my speed will prosper
Then to cap it off a new 90's gripper score 18642 doesn't take me any where but a little futher a way from the Ruskies on my tale (and puts a bit more pressure on Tim:p)
Got a few other 18.3and 18.4 scores and some high 6k5 30s but I was so stoked with my speed I kind of concentrated on that more.

Actually it was the least painful in terms of blisters endurance I have done.
I started off thinking 1,000,000 revs but then thought hang on that's 8333rpm per hand probably a bit much. So then I thought if I can beat my 1 ball score I will be happy but then thought thats only 5000rpm per hand so I printed out 5 minute targets for 8333, 7000, 6000, and 5000.
I managed 8333 for 5 minutes I was at 7000 pace at 15 minutes and finished with 399200 left(6653) and 399700 right(6661). Tot 798900
It was very unrelenting but hopefully it will build some depth into the back 30's of my 90's runs as they are really letting me down.

372,900 revs with my right hand on a signature series
401,000 revs with my left hand on a 250hz pro
So I managed 773,900 revs total in the hour.
It was back in December last year I did that.

Did the City to Surf fun run (12km) on the weekend. There was running but not much funning after about 9km. Man it certainly takes the body a lot longer to recover at 36 than it did at 19.
