Firstly thanks Wee for the thread and can l just apologise to all for my earlier deviation of of Duanes thread, I do get carried away a bit sometimes:o
Wee has been kind enough to start of this thread for me so l will give it my best shot in keeping it up to date as l hopefully progress!!:)
Thought it may be of interest to some of you how l started off and the scores l have achieved over the last 6 months or so, it is quite interesting looking back, even more interesting watching the videos, as some of you know, l did not initially have a very good technique, much to the amusment of all:D

Hi all thought l would post my latest attempt, was not expecting to get anything too special tonight being Friday but thought l would give the little fellow a run out before chilling out for the weekend and cracking on again on Monday.
Suprised myself with 15267K felt nice smooth run and the main thing for me is that it did not take me a lifetime like it usually does to get warmed up:confused:
Does this time vary for anyone else?
Well hopefully with a bit of a rest sum bigger scores will come and l am hoping to try out some new techniques, all about acceleration, as l am picking up on something Tim mentioned.

This Varies HUGELY for me, and since I suffer from some injuries, I only tend to really go for it if I can get within 90% or so of my high score within the first 5 runs.
Sometimes I will start off very well, but I won't be able to maintain it long, and in the past when I would try my hardest, VERY rarely after 2 hours I'd suddenly score much higher.

I had that yesterday. First run was about 11800, normally its low 11k like 11.4k, so i wasnt abit miffed.:confused: :confused: so i decided to do a wee warm up and hit 15856 on 90s.... best ever. throughout the night constantly getting over 12k with ease. finally got 12294. GILPI

P.S. I had a great time watching all your videos. It's interesting to note how in your older videos, like the 28k dual run posted there, you seem to have the impulse to try again(or several times) after you've reached your peak.

Yes your right about the impulse to try again after hitting my peak, it was something l use to do with my speed runs on my right hand, as you know to no it does not help!! I think it was just knowing l could do better than what l had just hit, this happens alot in dual hand, but it is one of the rules of Dual hand and spinning afterwards or independently is not allowed, Adren1in will confirm this as l think there are a couple of submission every now and then which show a sneeky spin afterwards:o

:) Go for it One-eye, it's good to have your left and right hand scores as near as possible that way your dual runs will be much higher like Jez's

Yeah, it's a shame my right lagged like it did during that 26986 run I did on Tuesday this week.
I could have been looking at a 27300-27400 dual run if my right hand had kept up more with my left. ;):D
Balance and coordination definitely key factors.
I find bouncing up and down on the balls of my feet in rhythm with the Powerballs helps coordinate my right and left hands and also gets the whole body involved early on for a really powerful and strong dual run.

Bad at the moment, I'm doing lots of metal and weight training at the moment, which is making me very slow... but I think in the long run I'll be better off.
Your scores are impressive Jez. I wish I was able to make such improvements. :(

Quite a wierd environment to get use to, you have to work out when to chat and when to go for powerball runs, as well as listening to the very funny dialogue going on especially between Adren1in and his dog!:D Well l think it was his dog!
Here are my scores from last night, in no order as l can't remember

Speed 14932K, 14946K, 14950K, 15048K, 15073K, 15226K and 15248K:D
Hopefully when my new balls come l can go quicker.

My new rotor came the day the competition, phewww, and it was so fast! Well for me as i hit 3 new records! 13153, 17108 and 6147 :) Jez if you had a go on it I'm sure you'd get a record! :p Close on Tuesday though ;)

Well hard session tonight but again a little frustrated still seem to be stuck around 15200-15300K, still really happy though that it is really consistent.
Scores tonight 15065K, 15204K, 15233K, 15209K and finally by the end of the night 15295K.
Going to rest a bit now and wait for my new balls and then see if that makes a difference.

Well still can't work out why l am hovering around 15200-15300K, it is so frustrating, not sure how to get to the next level, time, time, time l suppose. I think like Dennis said it is about changing your technique slightly, whatever that slight change maybe??????

Good to hear your still right up there in form pushing for your records. If you want i can do a powerballyzer on your speed run if you have a vid uploaded somewhere. :)
... how lucky is that being sent a Neon but sending off for a Pro. :eek: Nice score you have on it for a new ball as well. Keep it up anyway sure they'll come sooner rather then later.

Jez, I guess we have both managed to reach one of the "hinges" that Dennis talk about in his analysis of the 250Hz scores. I suspect we will both be here for a time at least to first get accustomed to the new level we have reached, and then until one of us figures out what change is necessary to progress further. I think Bjorn lingered at this level for a time at least until he figured out the change needed, and then he went up quickly and suddenly. I'm not sure what light Akis might be to shine on this range of score, but those are the only 2 Powerballers that in someway know what it takes to reach beyond 15,500.
Very interesting, isn't it, Jez, that you, Pako, myself, and possibly Alex have discovered that getting 15k is not really that hard just as Akis said in the past, but now we are understanding the real hurdle that lies at the 15,500+ mark. I'm not entirely sure what the change would be other than that I know that there would have to be a small change.
I'm sure I can increase my scores just a little bit with my current technique/grip/mindset/or whatever before I have to change it to progress beyond 15,500. Your new monthly score on gyrotek is definitely gonna put me to work too. Too get past 15298, you realize that I have to beat my own record, right Jez? You are making me work for this one, my friend, but it's good for this friendly competition we have going. It's good for lifting each other up to new heights and better scores. :)
That's cool that you have a red neon now! Kind of coincidental, I guess. :) You should put score on that thread I started so it will at least be on that record. I think a link to video would be great there too!

Thanks for the response, always great to read your comments and l agree that flipping 15K 200 something is really getting on my pip! Will have to try tweaking some little things with my technique to see what happens, but failing that l will just keep plugging away, Think l need to rest as well. Dennis graphs sure do make interesting reading but like you said there are only a couple above us and there is not much to go on unless Akis spills the beans on how he increased his scores when he was around 15K ish.

I just wish I had that fast-twitch ability to reach the sort of speeds you are with the Plastic, because I'm way up there on all ther other leagues...it's just the Premier League which has all the fortune and glory! :o

Sorry for my late response but it's been freaking busy over here!
Well, you guessed right; there is a secret for climbing the 15k scale very easily, but I won't tell you because I don't want to jeopardize my position :-) :-P
Now, seriously, I don't actually have any special hints, I can just share my experience with you.
At first, don't expect to climb 15k as easily as you did with 14k. I said that 15k is not that hard, but 16k, though feasible, is not exactly a child's play. Both of you have already made a respectable accomplishment. Just relax and don't let the anxiety overcome you; sooner or later progress will come.
When I was climbing over 15k some time ago, I remember that every new record seemed unreachable at first. My first 15k was 15027 which really gave me a hard time to beat then. I was trying and trying repeatedly but the 15k mark just wasn't appearing. I kept on exercising of course, but the thought that it had just been a lucky session had crossed my mind. And then, just like that, I crossed 15.3k! I didn't actually do anything, I just did it. Same happened at 15.5k. At this level I felt that I had reached my limit, considering the huge amount of effort that I was putting. However, after some time, I drove through 15.8k just like that again. It feels like your body shifts up a gear, but it does so only if it is prepared for it.
What I am trying to say with all this babbling is something that you already know: there isn't any magical recipe. Through practice and with the appropriate strategies and techniques (which both of you know very well) your body gets even more accustomed to the procedure and your performance rises. Inevitably, the higher you get, the more effort is needed for improvement.
Regarding the change in technique you mention, I don't think that I have made any "conscious" change in my technique since my first 15k score. It rather seems that I mechanically refined it. I can't really explain this, but you understand that with experience spinning becomes more focused and with less "wasted energy".
Another matter is the grip. Ok I know that this is already discussed and it is well known that a good grip improves performance. But sometimes, I find that when getting near to the peak speed, if I squeeze the ball even harder (trying to crush it!), mostly with the lower part of the palm, I may add a some rpms to the score. However I can only do this in hot mode, or else my hand will stop moving! :-)
Last but not least, is your physical and mental condition. Are you usually trying to break your record after a long and exhausting day at work? If so, you realise that you may be performing in less than 100%, whereas to hit really high speeds you are going to need every bit of your strength. Instead of that, pick a day which you will devote to powerball. On the previous day eat well and sleep much and peacefully, allowing your body to relax and "recharge" and your mind to be "discharged" of everyday troubles. Now try some sessions. I bet that your hot mode will come sooner and last longer. At least this works for me (and that's why most of my records are made on Sundays!).

Yeah the eating and sleeping thing its very important, i havent even dream of reaching those high scores, but i have notice that when i do a high score, normally i have slept quite a bit, and then the highscore comes, even without wanting it =P

That was great feedback for us, wish l could give some advice to Akis but l don't think l can at the moment, he is a legend!!;)
Will try that crushing the ball thing as l have never thought about it but l may already do it without knowing. The upshot Duane is l think we just keep at it and eventually it will come, fingers crossed.
Had another good session today and managed a good 90's score of 18652K, speed was still up there and hopefully l will try out some technique changes that Akis has mentioned. Remaining positive about this and l am sure we both can progress to the next level.
Come on guys Duane and l need some more 15K spinners, what do you say Jarkko, Dennis, and James (thumb when better?) to name a few top ballers.:) oh and Tim still waiting for that 19K lets all go for it and take powerballing a massive step forward and catch the Legend Akis!;)

Thought l would have a go this afternoon as l missed out on the Live comp yesterday. Had a nice warm up and got into spinning quite early today for a change. Managed two new records :D , 90's 18875K and the metal 12974, have not submitted metal yet but will do so shortly. Feel really good but that plastic still bugs me, can l get over 15300K, soooo frustrating!
Best score on the plastic was 15197K today will go again tomorrow if poss.

That was rather amazing how hard the walls were to climb, other things like hiking, kayaking and mountain biking were on show too.

The NEC hosts all types of outdoor pursuit competitions and as well many Outdoors sales. I use to be a physical training instructor for the services and that is where l learnt all my outdoor pursuit skills, from kayaking to leadership development, High rope courses to Gorge Walking. I have evolved this to Endurance racing, which is a combination of Ultra marathons and cycling, running and swimming but extreme distances. I have completed races such as the Isle of Jura Fell Race, Iron Man challenge, Two bridges Ultra Marathon on Dartmoor, Southdowns 60K Trail Walker and for my sins swam the channel!! you could say a mixed bag!!
So you could say l love challenges and that is why powerballing is so appealing to me, it is about trying to be the best you can be, and finding out what are your limits:)

Yes seriously l did it, you could never pay me enough money to do it again as it was probably the biggest challenge l have ever done. Wierd thing is getting use to sea sickness when swimming!!:( to answer your question it took 13 and half hours, although it took me god knows how long to stand 2ft clear of the sea at France, you have no idea where you land, a beach if your lucky.
Well Calshot, know it well being a local lad, you will love it and probably get hooked. Just don't expect to be a monkey as you will see what l mean about your forearms when you start climbing;)
Managed to hit 15329K last night and get into a hot mode really quickly after two runs. Stills can't work out what to do to move on. Time time time!!! l know, here is hoping:rolleyes:

I was in the army four fours years and the words PTI still send shivers through my bones (you sadistic *******:D). You are right about the climbing I got back into it on monday after a six year abscence my forearms are dead. I even left the balls at work over the weekend for a hot mode on tueday and that stuffed that up good and proper.

You're right, Jez. Climbing is an excellent arm-training exercise for newbies! *grin* I love to take friends along to indoor climbing halls; no matter how much I try to explain how to predominantly use the legs and feet, they always get pumped arms after two climbs or so.
l challenge anyone that long climbs are the best and really rewarding
I totally agree with you. The feeling you get when reaching the last protrusion, or even getting passed a key-point for the first time is a real thrill. It always is, even after having done uncountable climbs. The only opponent is yourself, so 'victory' equals knowing that you just pushed the limitations of your own abilities a little further.

Hi guys thought l would post my latest scores on my thread from the live competition the other night. Had a good night once l finally got online and Adrena1in helped me out with adding scores but had a great time. If you have not tried a live comp well worth it and what a turn out as well all the top spinners!:)
Scores from other night in no particular order;
15005K, 15065K (Most frequent score), 15120K, 15180K, 15236K, and finally 15315K.

Evening all Powerballers
Had an interesting night tonight breaking in a new ball:) and trying to get over that flippin 15300K mark. Tried all night and managed to get into two maybe three hot modes but for all my effort l could not get over that mark, never mind:confused:
Despite this l thought l would give myself a challenge and see how many scores l could get over 15K which is 98% of my maximium if my maths is correct in the shortest time possible, l initially thought of 10 minutes but this slid to 12 with the added difficulty of making all scores consecutive!!!
So here are my results, pretty chuffed myself but stll can't get higher than 15300K on a regular basis;
These are in no particular order;
15288K, 15268K, 15257K, 15227K, 15199K, 15180K, 15177K, 15163K, 15096K, 15015K, 15141K
Ooooops i think the 15015K is out of my 98% but you get the general challenge, so why don't you have a go, set yourself a percentage fairly high say 95% above and see how many scores you can get in the shortest time without going below your target!!! God l must have been bored:D

All definitely done with the New Ball, although l had to run the little blighter in for about half an hour and then do some speed runs up to about 14500K.

Interesting point. In may of the threads on the forum it is mentioned that an older ball is faster than a brand new one. Do you then find that your older balls are slower than the new one?
...although l had to run the little blighter in for about half an hour...
Also, how do you "run" the ball in? Do you just keep it as fast as possible for as long as possible? I have 2 neons that have done more than 300 000 revs each, but with medium speed, but they are still very uncooperative when it comes to speed.

Thought l would give the little guy a run out tonight seeing l have not done anything since last week. For some strange reason everything just felt good, hands, fingers etc and l managed to get into my spinning pretty quickly after a good warm up. Started off with a pretty old ball and did a couple of speed runs and to my suprised hit 15212K and 15256K, again
thought with a old ball that was pretty flippin good!!!! So went for it with my new ball, could not believe it 15621K flashing at me ???????????????
eeeeeeeeek. Tried another and another and this was the
result;
15621K, 15615K, 15611K, 15549K, 15235K got the lot on video!!!!!:) :)

There is something about the beginning of the month whether it is that lovely clean scoreboard l am not sure but it seems to work for me.

Thanks for all the congrats glad l can share it with people that really appreciated it and not think your mad. Things today just felt really good, l was relaxed, hands felt great and fingers were really flexible so all that and the fact that the new ball was spinning really well. It was the new ball from a couple of posts ago that l had just ran in and then did my mad challenge with;). So yes Duane a new ball is a definite yes for a top speed. The key l think is you have to push the ball and not let it run away from you, a new ball seems to have that resistance to do that as well as it is as smooth as anything. Hopefully will put all videos of all on my web site and post it soon, tomorrow. What l would say is just keep going at it, rest is vital and like Akis has said before you need to be really relaxed, then you hit big scores, and hopefully a huge hot mode.

Just had another spin as last time l took some time off and went to see the folks l managed to get a new record:) Well to my shock and l was not hoping for anything as my ball is getting a little worn yet again l decided to do a couple of runs. Started off by hitting 15K a few times and then hit some pretty reasonable 15300K scores and thought lets just go for it again, fingers were feeling great:)
This was the series no particular order;
15253K, 15177K, 15314K, 15309K, 15504K, 15480K and then 15651K :) :)
So really happy with that 15651K, it is not much of an improvement but still a record and more importantly, still moving on up!

Isn't weird how, no matter how good you are, improvements seem to happen in sudden bursts, (your leap from 15349 to 15621 for example), and then scores stabilise around the new record for a bit. Mostly.
Very good session there...you're really on a par with Bjorn at the moment and I've little doubt you're going to catch him soon. I forsee another leap to the realms of 16k soon. :eek:

Way to go, Jez! Moving up is a good thing, I agree. It's interesting how much of the activity on the Top 100 scoreboard as been in the #3 and #4 spots lately. ;)
You are definitely catching up quickly to Bjorn. He's probably at spinning it up right now to keep you somewhat out of reach. One of you guys are bound to hit 16k before long, especially if there is a little competition going on. :)

Another night with the little guys again and thought l would experiement with some technique and have a mess about. Firstly some serious balling to see whether l could keep the consistency going. Did another long warm up but nothing with too much exertion and thought l would go straight into it:rolleyes:
Series tonight;
15100K, 15000K (exactly, twice now), 15330K, 15618K, 15542K, 15276K and finally 15498K.
The main thing is l kept my consistency, but like Adrena1in has said it is wierd how you score 15300K and then jump up to 15600K, it is still a little eratic but at least in the right direction.:)
Decided to play around with endurance metal eeeek! here we go!
Right hand only 90s 14510K arm just died could not hold ball at end:eek:
Left hand only 90's 14310K arm quicker but had to slow down big time:eek:
Can't say these two runs were enjoyable!!!!!!!:( :
Never the less good fun! Tried a bit of (E) but just can't get my head round it and l can honestly say l am definitely a gripper!!!!!!:D
Oh nearly forgot;
Left hand speed 12410K definitely weaker! but quicker
Right hand Speed 12599K definitely alot stronger but no where near as fast!

Hi fellow powerballers
Well for me the most important thing is l have cracked
that 13K metal mark at last. It feels like it has
taken me an eternity to get but everything came
together today and the ball was in brill condition
after receiving some spare parts from Enda and the
team!! The great thing is that l can do speed with my
left and then metal with my right, so they don't
affect each other. Well this was my series on Metal;
12956, 12988, 12991, 12996, 13055 (first score), 13083
and then 13188K how chuffed am l.:)
Also managed to beat my speed score again with 15658K
and this was the series;
15543,15573,15593,15615,15638,15647,15653 and finally
15658K :D
Slowly and surely getting there and really pleased
that the consistency is there as well.
Had a go at a couple of 90's although before all this;
managed 18617 and 18701K good but just so tiring!!!
Thought l would have a go for good measure at a 30's and managed 6775K.
I have sent all these videos for Tim to check and hopefully they will be on the site soon!

How do you time your spped runs when you use just one hand. I normally alternate left and right with 90's in between but i'm not using lefty at the moment and it throws me off?

I'm glad you made it to 13k. I'll have to do some more work on that too. I just got some parts in for my Metal and I am getting it up to speed again.
Also I did receive my new Powerballs, but I need to rest my fingers at least over the weekend here because of some blisters from the Metal. I did get the new Powerballs going a little bit and warmed up to about 14600 or so. I just wanted to get them ready for some real work later.
I am hoping Monday or Tuesday. :)
If I manage to get a new record on the 250hz, then I will go to the Metal again. It's been awhile since I have done a new record there. My 13k on the Metal was a month before I hit 15k. It's due time now ;)

I find it more accurate making the gain higher so a line can be drawn/estimated through the middle mmm

well turning down the gain will essentially take this guess work out of the equation for you and show you a more accurate result without all the "blown out" noise being shown. I always turn the gain right down so that I only see a very thin line, this way I can accurately see exactly where the graph peaked and so forth.

Well it has been a while since l picked up a ball, for me anyway, cos l was starting to get a little worried as the last couple of attempts of using our little spinning friends has been, to say the least rubbish:( . Not sure why but l think l have been trying to do to much. Well today managed to get back in the zone and really push for a new record, which was an amazing feeling. The main reason for this was not the record but the feeling the ball gives you when you start hitting a higher speed where you have never been before, it was something else!!!! 16 K must be awsome.
Well this was my series, have sent the video of to the forum so hopefully on there shortly!
Really pleased that l managed to get a video of a right hand run 15096K followed immediately with a Left hand run of 15674K same video, how cool:D
Managed then to score 15627, 15634, 15674 (wierd twice!) and then;
15898K - :eek:
I also hit a new right hand of 15416K and two 90's runs of 18634 and 18721K which was great cos the right hand speed is back, so watch out all you Ed Tecs!!;)

I just still can't get over the way you have the Powerball up high, spinning relatively slowly, then change your position and blast it straight up to over 15k in an instant. It seems such a sudden transition to me. I have to move quite steadily between my position of preparation into my position of top speed. And even then I move into top speed position quite early, and can't wind the revs up that much at all.

Pretty good, not far from the truth at all, l have always been a creature of routine and this is especially so when playing sport. The problem with Powerball is that you have to make minor changes all the time in order to achieve higher and higher scores. If you notice my right hand technique l always use to spin the ball high up then drop it down and hit it like mad, so thought l would try this technique with the left hand but it has taken me some time to practice controlling the speed and action and feeling comfortable, finally it worked!! My technique is to generate speed in the upright position to a point at which l know l can then accelerate again when dropping my hand down, then adding a pulsing technique to this which takes me hopefully out of orbit!, so l suppose l have three ‘Cues’ each one seamlessly follows the other, but your right l don’t think about it, it just happens.

yeah, Jez has made some nice jumps in speed lately, about 200rpm per week? So if he keeps this up it would only take like 2 more weekly improvements like this to challenge Akis. ;)
Its time for Duane to make the next jump in speed first though :D

Hi fellow ballers just back from Amsterdam and had a couple of days rest, so thought l would have a bash with our little friends:)
Had a good workout as usual and after a short warm up l had a go at a 30's and scored 6716K and then a 90's where l scores a 18557K. Proceeded to go for some speed runs and it just got crazy from there, still could not get that 16K though. Here is the series;
15331, 15351, 15574, 15602, 15607, 15620, 15620, 15623, 15624, 15634, 15635, 15651, 15652, 15655, 15658, 15681, 15710, 15727, 15821.
Really pleased overall but really going for it tomorrow l know l can hit that 16K. ;)

Whenever my speed is a bit lacking I find endurance is on fire. You should've done some 30s and 90s runs. Bet you could easily hit 7k 30s and probably push towards 20k 90s.
Not too bad a sesh there jez, considering you were lacking "va-va-voom"

Thought l would give my latest update as to the charge for the 16K, still driving me nuts as l can't seem to get just that little bit more. Lets face it what is 200 revs on 16000K it is nothing but can l get it!!!!:mad:
Well here is the list of scores pretty chuffed with the 15820K:) but 16K is what l want so will have to just keep plugging away.
well these were my scores.
15543, 15557, 15593, 15600, 15617, 15624, 15625, 15625 (twice), 15627, 15636, 15653, 15657, 15714, 15718, 15820 :)
Oh and a 15035 with a powerball signature!! those little lights were flying around;)
Well rest again now and will give it ago in a couple of days.

Categorically and without a shadow of a doubt alot harder!!!, it took me a couple of attempts and a slight change of technique but l eventually got it:)

Consistancy is as good as bettering your score because it means you have loads of potential to get much higher then your doing now :eek: 15K on signature is amazing ... is it the first time its been done? :rolleyes:

If you continue like this, it will be one-way to 16k. I find the transition from 15.6k to 15.8k to be quite a leap, but from 15.8k to 16k it's practically the same gear.
I see that you are almost getting used to hitting 15.8k scores when you are really up to it. With such performance, there is no doubt that you'll get that tiny extra "click" which will allow you to leave orbit and land on the 16k zone. 16k may be somewhat reluctant to appear, but don't ever allow it to become a mental barrier!
The only thing that I can suggest you is to try and get into hot mode using [mainly] your weaker hand. As soon as you feel sufficiently strong and "hot-moded" then bring your good hand toughly into the game. You'll probably have a combination of hot mode and strength reserve which may prove useful.

Thought l would have another go tonight and see what happens, in short not a great deal:( Started off as usual with a good warm up and then went for some harder runs. Managed to get 18625 90's and a 6648 30's which was brill, but my left hand was not playing tonight so instead switched over to the right hand which seemed to come back into its own, managed to get over 15K again.
Managed to get a number of 15K runs but just did not have that extra something, although l did manage to beat my siggy score, new record of 15121K:) i think it is because the ball is newer, may need to treat myself.
I think their seems to be alot of people that need to rest including me!!!

Hi fellow powerballers
Interesting night tonight, started off really well and recorded some good strength scores (18661K) and some nice 30's (6730K). Left hand felt good but right hand when ballistic tonight and probably got fed up waiting for the left, managed to score an amazing 15785K with right and got it recorded. Left and right hand are now in competition!!!!;) With that in mind thought l would have a go with the dual hand seeing both hands were working really well. Hit two new records of 30357K and 30386K keeping things pretty balanced, really feel there is more there but want to keep both hands together. Over the moon with this as l thought that there was no way tonight that would happen.
Hit 15637, 15713, 15715 with my left so still consistent there. Will have to be patient again for the 16K but it will come, l hope!!:rolleyes:

Nice dual run Jez. Makes for an interesting powerballyzer. They accelerate almost identically but the right peaks about 2 seconds before the left you hold the right for a good 3-4 seconds then lefty bangs in just before they die off.

Well just could not resist having ago on the metal again after getting some new bits and pieces from Enda:) Must say though l knew my fingers would get ripped apart by the beast it is so not forgiving. Well managed to get a new record of 13431K after about an hour of fine tuning my ball and plugging away. Hands really suffering!!

Managed to get a new record on the metal by 7 revs but pretty pleased as l was not really expecting it. Thought l would play around with my technique and as you can see from the video when it is up there is a lot of changing grip and talking to myself going on. Well hopefully more to come:)

It feels like a lifetime since l last posted something, work has been busy and like so many of us l have been through a really bad powerball period as l call it:mad: The good thing is l seem to be coming out off it now and scores are beginning to roll in again.
Well tonight and last night was a multi powerball event, where l tried a bit of everything and these were the best scores, really suprised with some but l am in definite need of some new balls cos l think that will help me push for that 16K

Nice one Jez, if you're lucky and get a particularly fast new Powerball you could be going over 16k soon. I broke out my two new balls last night, and one was consistently 200 to 400 rpm quicker than the other...and even that much quicker than my previous best 250Hz ball. It's strange.

Thought l would post tonights session as it was really quite an interesting one from last nights live comp. I must say it was great to get back to the live competitions although l did have a problem with the inputting of scores, but a couple of you soon reminded me of what to do, so thanks;)
Well tonight was all about the soundball, as l am still waiting for my new powerballs to turn up, so the closest thing l have got to a 250Hz is the soundball, eeeeek and l think l may have given myself a headache in the process:D Dame that ball is loud.

Thought l would post a little update on my scores. Still breaking in a new ball so screamer is still being used, eeek my ears:mad: , good news though new record with the screamer of 15211K really can't chuffed again.
Managed to get over 15300K with old balls and 13208 with Metal so all in all pretty good session.
Hopefully new record soon on the way once new ball is worn in, fingers crossed it is a quick one:rolleyes:

However it turned out to be a great start to the session as l thought l would go for some endurance runs instead of flitting around all over the place doing a bit of everything.

Thought l would then go for some speed runs hust to finish off and got 15671 so was more than happy that the speed is still there;)

Will do my all next time to split them up a bit, but still think the technique is 'different in so many ways' as l have recorded 19K+ with it although to me l will always be a gripper!!!!! and keep to that technique.
oh before you ask no unfortunately l have not got video as l was playing around when l did it.

Still plugging away at this 16K but it starts to wear on you a bit, it is now about getting everything right all on the same day, so have to just keep plugging away at it.
Had a little break though today although it was with my right hand and not left, so it is a real race between both hands who gets to 16K first ;)
So here is the series of the best;

I've noticed that some days the sound is way off and other days it is fine. Photobucket seems to work well for some people.

Still as hard at it as ever Jez! Those are some insane scores you've got cookin'. :eek: Amazing balance between hands; now its time to wait and see which will make the break for 16k first. :) I guess you haven't submitted your new 90s score since you have no video... well I'm sure you'll have over 19k soon enough anyway.
