I posted in the past about how well the powerball has helped my son after his wrist surgery. We are in the middle of his gymnastics competitive season now. He has been bringing home lots of gold medals. At one of the competitions he took 1st on all six events and 1st all around. The last meet we went to he placed 1st on 5 events and 1st all around. He has brought his all around score up by a FULL 9 POINTS from last years! This is amazing considering they are counted by .01. Using a powerball for any rehab is well worth trying. After all, we were told he would never get back movement in one of his fingers and would not get back the full rotation in his wrist. His goal now is to qualify for Nationals.
Excellent news BasketCase... yet another of Powerball's success stories :D
Please pass on our congratulations to your son... both for his impressive achievements and also for managing to rehabilitate himself so well.
Congratulations and well done.
Regards
Enda

Always good to hear about your son's progress. How old is he? Are we talking 2008 or 2012 Olympian here?! :)

I used to do gymnastics, back in the day when i was 10 and i did it at County level for Suffolk. Pretty impressive if he qualifies for Nationals! Good luck! :)

Sorry, newish, and missed your earlier posts.
What surgery did he have done?
I can add it to my "things that powerballs have helped" list.
Many congratulations to your son, I love it when we medical professionals are proved wrong, and someone defies the odds.
Wishing him every luck for the future.

He turned 17 on New Years Day. We got him the metal for his birthday. He can use it but not for very long. He still goes back to his neon pro.
LOL on the Olympics. He would like to move on to a college team so we will have to wait and see. He will graduate in 2008 from high school.
