Hey All!

Just like to share my excitement with you as i achieved a new
strength 90's 17055, I caught it on video too, well 16925 but im sure they still can accept it ?!! :D I rarely ever put my webcam on so i tried again with a video this time :D

Im abit worried though as my counter misses a little bit off
but i got it on video anyway so it should be ok!

Is this a good score for a 14yr old?
If i could have some feedback it would be great

Regards

Peter

Just set a new Dual Hand with video, will be sending them in today so hopefully will be up tomorow
24752
Nothing compared to the likes of Jeremy but its something!

12147 Left Hand

Holy Smokes Peter!

I would sure say it was a 'good' score. 17055 would put you in 31st? place in the strength category...and you're 14. Sheesh! ;)

Dang, the 'young guns' are out in force lately. Can't wait to see what a few of you guys do in a year's time. Love it! :D

not bad pete, ive just start doing 90s runs, literally 3 days ago, i got 15291 on first go, so if i start practicing more, ( no edouard tech ) i will achieve more, plus speed score will go up :D

Great job man! Did you use any Ed. Tech. on that? If not, than thats amazing, but even if you did, its still a nice score for a 14 yr old!

Yea i think so, i'll just let Tim decide when he see's the video. I burst for like 2 seconds between changovers

Pete

Great scores and cant wait to see the strength run, you are certainly going to be a force to be reckoned with as you get a little older and stronger if not before!!;)

With regards to you dual hand that is very good as well 24752 K l started of on 26200K so you will be suprised with the improvements you will make, the problem is getting both hands in hot mode at the same time!

Keep spinning and it is true Two hands are better than one:)

Hey Jeremy

Yea its hard to synchronize my arms both at the same time with the
Dual Run but if i keep practicing i should be 25,000 + or more

I uploaded my Strength Video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5mDPq4a7WDA u may have to wait abit because its just uploaded but should work sometime

I should of really beat my record with that one because i slow near the end
but i'll keep having a go at that and see if i can get 17500 + :p

Well done Pete! - good to see you so high up on the 90s scoreboard.

Ishould have another few goes at 90s - ive done maybe two or three just using my right hand. the best i got was 16789. If i can involve my left i might be able to push the score up.

I spent a minute or so trying to figure out why you tried so hard for 90 seconds and only got 6900. :p Now I remember! Very good score!

Yea  I dropped my screen and there was an error in it :(

But the score is 99.3% of the original so its ok ! :)

Heres a graph of my 16929 run. Not very clear but u can see i lose
alot of rpm during the changovers :( Theres room for improvement so its not so bad :)

Great effort Pete, well done.:D

Better than my highest 90s strength

Maybe I should work on strength scores a little as I have been neglecting them of late.

I wish! Maybe when I'm a little bigger :p But for now im focusing on breaking the 14k mark, which i want to achieve before I'm 15 (June). Fingers crossed :) and also the 18k 90's Strength mark, but thats probably going to be after I'm 15

... im focusing on breaking the 14k mark ... and also the 18k 90's Strength markI did those at about the same time really, (late last year), so no reason why you shouldn't too.

Your 17055 score is approved, but it was nip-and-tuck about the technique really. The normal "Edouard Technique" is to burst the Powerball to max RPM, then rest and allow it to spin down slowly. Yours was more of a normal "Gripper" technique, but with Ed-Tech changeovers. So it was sort of slightly Ed-Tech, and as such I had to mark it as so.

You won't lose that much by doing "Gripper" changeovers really, so work on that and I'm sure you'll still be able to do 17k.

Oh, and yes, those scores at 14 is pretty bloomin' amazing!! I just wish I'd had a Powerball 22 years ago!! :o

Hey thanks for the nice words Tim, i look up to people like you though, with massive scores in the 18,000 bracket  I worked out that my effort balance is 86.8% during my 90's run so thats not too bad. Yours is 87.2 % wearas Akis is 82%, so your much higher then Akis in effort balance, thats impressive :p

That is a good % you've got there, one of the best. I assume Tim has the best.
Mine is only a pathetic 78.4%, something i really need to work on.

GILPI
14-02-2007, 16:49
78.4% ? ouch get at least an extra 10% on that easy, i think MJ has the best % rate, something along the lines of 86-87% mine is 83.3% still room for improvement.

Tstering
14-02-2007, 16:53
LOL, an extra 10% easy ??? . That would give me the best % there is and you think i should do that easily lol. An extr 5% i agree though. Ot is my LH i need to work on.

How do you work out effort rate??

petemayhew
14-02-2007, 17:06
How do you work out effort rate??

You just divide by your top score. Say my top score was 12000 and my 90's endurance run was 16000 you divide the 16000 by 1.5 to work out revs per minute, then do 10667 divide by 12000 = 88 %

Adrena1in

I think Obiw4n still holds the % record, but it was with Ed-Tech. I'm still the top "Gripper". :)

Mike22, what you need to do to work out your own percentage is take the average speed you maintain in a 90s run, and divide it by your record speed score. My record average is 12393.3 rpm, (18590 in 90s), divided by my record speed of 14214, gives a result of 87.2%. So over 90s I can maintain 87.2% of my absolute top speed. (Over 30s this average is something like 95.5%.)

It's not the best calculation really, but it gives a rough idea. Most people tend to be around the 80-83% area.

I've just hit "Hot mode" today!

I beat my endurance by 6 rpm! From 17055 -- to -- 17061

But this time i got it all on video! With a sheet at the start
with the code for Gyrotek so i can get on the scoreboards there!

I also broke my 30's from 5998 -- to -- 6060 :) I make that 92.48 % effort balance, nothing compared to Tim's 95.47 %
and also on video with the code! Its been a incredible day
endurance wise, but only managed 12.5 K speed.

Maybe another day will hold higher scores!

Regards

Peter
