Got a pretty serious problem here!
My hand hurts from powerballing, guess it's because of those record attempts..
I have attached a picture of where my hand is hurting, it's a tendon(if that's what its called in english) rigth above the thumb.
When i try to break a record I always tend to hold my wrist more to the rigth when I'm using the rigth hand.
Got any tips for what i can do to make this pain go away, cause i really want to continue powerballing.
The worst is that I hardly use it for more than 10 minutes a day...
Regards
Remi..

Can't see your picture Remi:(
1.Is the pain at the point where your thumb joins your wrist?
And is it on the back of the thumb or the grip side of the thumb?
2. Does it only hurt when you powerball or do other things hurt too?
3. How long does it hurt for after powerballing?
Let me know and I will try to help

1. yes the pain is where it joints with the wrist.. On the back side of the thumb.
2. It only hurts when i powerball, but itęs still uncomfortable when i do other things to, such as playing my bass.
3. I dunno, just started to hurt real bad..
Thanks anyway!
By the way the pic should be there now, just had to make the file size a bit smaller. I marked where it hurts with clear red, you'll prolly understand...

Pic "pending approval". I will look tomorrow.
OK, try this.
If you bend your wrist to the right while powerballing, that means you are stretching the tendon over the thumb.
If you make a fist, with your thumb inside the fist and bend your wrist towards your little finger, does it hurt?
If so it sounds like a condition called DeQuirven's Tenosynovitis.
After powerballing (try to keep your wrist a little straighter), do the stretch I just described for 20 seconds. Relax and then repeat the stretch.
Then put your hand in a bowl of cold water for 5 mins.
Try to limit your powerballing to once a day for while to see if it eases.
Let me know how you get on.

It does definately hurt when i make a fist with my thumb inside and stretch to the rigth, I'll do those streches, and put my hand in cold water, to see if it help's over time. Thank you! :o

I think I may have had this same pain in the wrist and thumb sometime soon after I had just started Powerballing. I remember it even hurting at night when I was just trying to sleep. It eventually when away. I may have just got totally used to the Powerball.
What I did for mine was just to rest a little from the Powerballing, do easy thumb rotations easy the pain. When I felt good enough, I used the Powerball very lightly for somewhat long sessions, but without any record breaking attempts.
I am not sure what made it go away, but eventually it was gone.
Always Powerballing,

Things are looking good for my hand, now that i have given it a rest from powerballing.
I did the streches and cooling down thing you told me to do physioblue, and i think it helped quite alot..
But i think I'll give it a few more days just to be sure, and maybe give it some gentle runs with the ball.. But not more than once a day as you said.. Thx for your help.
