I got a small problem here.

You see, when i powerball, my fingers tend to want to slide away from each other, leaving a big gap between my middle and ring finger.

Anyone else who has had this problem. It almost hurts too..

I have tried to wash both the powerball and my hands, and it helps a bit but then when i pass about 10000 rpm, they just wont stay where i want then too.

I have trained a lot of grip strength with my powerball, and since I'm a bassplayer, my grip strength if fairly good, but it doens't seem to help, it actually makes it worse.

Any tips?

i can't think of much here :S

but maybe holding the powerball with the rotor into your palm?

Just look at some other threads (there are many) that cover gripping the powerball. Some threads that are about slipping rubber bands are helpful too.

Hey Realnils,

i got some good advice from Duane, one of the top 5 pb-ers, when you first grip the powerball, make note of where they are ( before you excel 10k ) and try make the smallest adjustments, worked wonders for me and i got 12241 today,

cheers matey. whats james' record? i sooo wanna beat him lool, i was on a stonkin' hot mode, felt amazing, constantly getting over 12k, and got 11600+ with matt wright's broken pb lol, i got 3 pb's atm and getting another in the week ( sam baveystock's ) lol got a lil collection going.

God, james doesnt know when to stop lol,thats a big job for me this week then, to do as many 90s runs as i can then go for another record sat/sun.

Anyone else who has had this problem. It almost hurts too..Can't say I've ever had that problem myself. I tend to have my fingers quite close together, and there's nowhere really for the Powerball to go. If it's slipping, make sure it's really clean, with non-moisturising soap and warm water...same for your hands.

If you're talking about the Metal Powerball, I do (or did) sometimes get finger pains, as it's bigger than the Plastic, so for that I use something called SurGrip...a liquid you can buy in sports shops, which you put on your fingers and it dries to form a sticky surface.
