Hey All!
I did it! I finally broke into the 15K mark several times today. I decided to stop with a new high score of 15241. :)
As I mentioned to Tim earlier this month, based on my rate of improvement and how would be feeling on this particular day, that I would break into 15K on January 22 or soon after depending on if I was in a hot-mode or not. I ended up breaking the 15K mark right on the very day I estimated that I could.
I started Powerballing 4 months and 12 days ago, so I still consider myself relatively new to the sport. I don't think I am finished breaking my records yet. I haven't quite reached my goal score, and I haven't shown any leveling off with my improvement. ;)
I did decent today. I may try to top myself again tomorrow to see what happens. Perhaps later this week I will tackle the Metal again and try to beat my record. :)
Always Powerballing,
Duane Cash

What can I say, I always knew you had it in you!!
I think perhaps you should wait several days between record attempts, especially with 15k+ scores. But thats just my opinion, I guess you would know better! :P
great goin man wish i could hit those kinda scores ....
i only broke the 14k barrier ...barely

Yes, I got it on video this time, of course - especially after my previous score fiasco in December. For those who don't know what Alastair V is talking about, look at my avatar, and always remember to record your record attempts. ;)
I always record now regardless of how serious I think the run is going to be. :)
Always Powerballing,

Well done Duane!
I knew it was on the way but congrats on your achievement - you really have had superb improvements over the past few months!

Great Score Duane, congratulations =D

nice Job Duane,
plan on giving Pako something to worry about in the metal league?
You should come join the live competition on gyrotek's chat some time and go head to head with Bjorn, Pako, Jarkko, Dennis, Adrena1in, and the gang!
Wow, that was a big jump. What next, 15500? You are definitely next Akis.

nice Job Duane,
Thanks weee!

Perhaps, Pako...or how about Akis? We'll see what happens. ;)

Maybe I will sometime will if I am off work on the right day. I still keep up with everything happening over there in the forums and such. Sometimes my own best record-breaking sessions are after the live chats are over and done. Then I know what scores to aim for next.
Thanks again weee! :)

Wow, that was a big jump. What next, 15500? You are definitely next Akis.
Thanks Jarkko!
I guess the next waypoint for me would be about 15500. I did a sound analysis on my record Powerball run, and I found that I actually hit around 15330 or so, but I guess I didn't hold it long enough for the score to register on the Powerball counter.
From here, 15500 is not too far away. Neither is 15835 for that matter, really. However it may be around the middle of next month that I get to the the 15800 level as long as I don't slow down too much on my improvement. ;)
We'll see what happens next. These Powerballs are great! :)
Always Powerballing,
Duane Cash

Major grats to you sir. You really have improved so impressively and steadily. I'd say just keep practicing like you are as it is working for you. Don't take any breaks until you hit a plateu. I'm really interested to see what level you hit.
I was improving at a similar rate to you until i bust my thumb then broke my powerballs :(, so very frustrated. I'm hopeing I can get it back going again as I'm interested to see when my improvement would stop.

That's impressive Duane, well done. And I remember when you and I were competing for the 100th place in the Top 100! ;)
EDIT: Problem with ScoreAdmin at the moment Duane...trying to approve the score. For those who can't wait, http://www.powerballs.com/score_videos/15241_Duane-Cash.wmv

Thanks everyone for the congrats!
I might take Pako's advice and give it a go on the Metal Powerball as well to see what I can do now.
I'll still make a few attempts on the 250Hz Pro before the end of the week, reaching for 15500 at least. My rate of improvement, however, may keep me away from 15500 mark until the 1st of February or so.
But you never know. I might get a sudden surge of strength that propels me past that mark anyway. :)
Thanks again all!
Always Powerballing,
Duane Cash
