Hey,
I've noticed that on my 250z the rubber grip band has stretched, probably because of the numourous times i've taken it off and on again. I've noticed once you have a firm grip on the ball at around 10000-11000 mark the rubber band sort of wrinkles up which affects the speed very much. Is there a way to shrink the band back to the way it was when it was new?

A very common question. One that has been answered many times before. :o
Heres one of the better explanations I found:
Best thing to do is as follows.
Remove the rubber band. Soak it in warm/hot (not boiling or you'll melt it) soapy water. Dont use washing up liquid though, as this can break the rubber down apparently, best to use hand soap of some type.
Leave it to soak for a good 10 mins. In the mean time wash the outside of the ball in soapy water also, make sure you get NONE inside the ball or you could beak the counter like i did once.
Make sure you dry the ball and the rubber grip properly, and then put it back on. Make sure you also give your hands a really good wash. you sould now get a much better grip. You need to do this quite often, if, like me, you have very sweaty hands.
Also you could get hold of some liquid magnesium or SurGrip which are liquid grips for your hands that really help you hold onto the balls.
P.S. Who says we need a sticky on this subject?:p
