Hi Guys,

I have a problem with my new red neon Powerball. I'm stuck on 10700, just can't seem to get any higher. My mate has a new blue neon and my first time out with it I hit 11200. His rotor is quite tight but I've noticed mine is slipping. I guess that's why I can't get any higher. Has anyone else had this problem.

10,7k and 11,2k is not a real difference a this level it's just a matter of technique...

Do some endurance sessions, you won't be stuck at 11k for a long time that way ;)

Hi Obiw4n,

Do you think thats just it. I was wondering if the track needed cleaning. It seems to take such a long time to get up to speed whereas my mates one shot up in no time at all

If you feel it needs some cleaning ( only after a few weeks of use) then you can try to clean it...you'll see if it works better

You also have to know some powerballs are naturally slower than others, but after a while this thing can change and they become normal..

After a few months, and especially if the inner track is worn out, cleaning won't be useful to get back to the original speed capacity...

The problem is perhaps that your Neon Red is newer than your friend's Neon Blue? I've got a Signature Series that I don't use very much, and the other night I could only just about get 11700 out of it, and with a well worn in 250Hz Pro these days I can easily get over 13000 without really trying.

New Powerballs do sometimes take a while before that "bite" and rapid acceleration is achieveable. Just do what Obiw4n suggests and try some long endurance runs, and you'll soon notice a slight change. If not, get back to us. :)

As the rest have said, it may just take your new ball a while to reach its maximum. I got a new neon last night and even after an hours powerballing could only manage 12,600 whereas with my normal ones i can hit 13K straight away normally and after an hour would beclose to or just over 14K.

Ok Guys,
Thanks for all the advice. I'll see if I can clean it then I 'll try some hard runs for a few days. I'll let you know how it goes.
Thanks again

Just had a bit more proof/evidence that new balls do need to be 'worn in'. I brought my new ball into work today and have spun in a million times over the day (had to shut my office door to stop annoying others lol) at speeds no faster than 6,000rpm.
Still at work i my suit but gave it one speed blast and got 13,006. Considering last night I had warmed up properaly for speed and could only get 12,600 and now I've got over 13,000 without any real work at it it proves the ball gets faster once it has been used for a while.

Yes, I know what you mean. I had not used my 3 250Hz Pro S (Soundballs) as much as my other Powerballs, and my scores were around 13,900 or so with these Powerballs. I didn't use them as much because they were loud, and I had many other 250Hz Powerballs to use to instead. But when my regular 250Hz Powerballs were out of commission in need of new rotors, I decided to use the Soundballs more because I had to, and now I am able to get scores of 14,600 or so after they have finally been worked in.

I think the higher scores partly come from how much you use it.

I even have a well worn-in 250Hz Powerball with cracks in the rotor that I was still able to get 14,400+ scores with even though it was loud and vibrated a little. I wonder what it will do with a new rotor now. ;)

It comes down to how much you practice with it.

Always Powerballing,
