A mate of mine got one of the techno powerballs from Christmas; I got hooked, as many people seem to have done from reading these boards, thought I would register and contribute to the growing community.

I also got my brother to buy a powerball and some other mates of mine have ordered a few too.

I got my powerball on Jan 4 and have ordered another (been despatched today, 16 Jan). Trying to perfect the single handed start that I saw Akis do on his dual handed powerball record (that guy is a beast).

My powerball already seems to be making dodgy noises too... I might have to have a go at vacuuming it to see if it can clean the inside (I read something about cleaning it out with pressurised air on the FAQs but the nearest vacuum is in my house, so I thought that might be worth a shot too).

P.S. So.. what commission am I getting here for all my promotion of this product? A metal powerball wouldn't go amiss. ;)

Sorry for the long post.

Welcome, and don't be sorry for a long post, we always love to read peoples stories and how they got started. This community does seem to be growing everyday, it really is great.

Thanks Tsering, it's easy to see why the community is growing so quickly though: spinning a ball is addictive. As sad as it sounds. :)

welcome
nice to see another baller around

try to clean your ball once in a while, reduces noise and the "rough" stuff

spinning a ball is addictive. As sad as it sounds. :)Tell me about it! I can't seem to put mine down, (though "luckily" I can't really use one in the office without annoying everyone else, so I don't).

same problem here, i can't really do it at the office, although god knows i wish i could.
i got home yesterday and i was powerballing all over the place, kitchen, bedroom, bathroom, getting my shirt off with one hand and switching hands so i could finish taking it off.... it's spooky.

getting my shirt off...You'd fit right in at Gyrotek.net...most of them there seem to like Powerballing with their shirt off. My girlfriend often jokes about it! ;)

no i meant i get home form work, i'm not even out of my suit and shirt ( and into jeans and tshirt) and already i was spinning my powerball last night. my girlfriend looked at me and rolled her eyes, then i exchanged hands to take my hirt off one arm and then again to put a t shirt on, and kept on spinning.
basically i'm addicted.

LOL, I have to admit to doing that when i first got it. I can now happily wait untill I've got my suit off atleast :D

I also have a problem with powerballing without my shirt on :D I just get too sweaty, though I do try and put a shirt on when doing videos, though I think one of them I didn't. Luckily I think i only subjected Tim to that one to get a score approved.

if by any chance i'm powerballing in the morning still in my boxers, i still have a t-shirt or a towel handy to dry my hands at the very least when i switch hands.
seriously, i'm glad to hear at least 1 other person was doing that at some point, i felt a bit like a dork yesterday. i also find myself flicking my wrist and "airballing" at work unconsciously... also kinda dorky.
