Hi everyone, first time here for me! ;)
But i was just wondering about one thing...
I got my first powerball in the beginning of august, and it was a techno, pretty neat thing. When i first started i could hardly get up to 10k, that was me at my peak! But suddendly my scores started dropping, just as the vibration and rattling got worse, and i ended up not being able to get above 8,5k in a good run, with other words, the rotor was destroyed.
i went downtown to get myself another, but then the metal caugth my attention, and i was sold! It's a real badass compared to my old techno!
But the thing i was wondering about was what my score would look like on a regular pro, now that i dont have a regular powerball.
My score rigth now is 10187 on the metal, how much would that be on a regular powerball ca?
Hi Realnils,
Provided you have a good technique and depending on your physique, one can generally add 1500 to 2000 rpm to the score of a 350Hz to calculate the expected speed that same person will achieve with a 250Hz.
But, there's only one way to find out for sure: buy one of the plastic little fellas!: http://www.powerballs.com/order.php
Kind regards,
Dennis

You will be amazed at how light and easy to spin the 250hz is. You'll probably be able to get around 12k with a little practice.

I can actually add that much... That proves i have had improvement since my techno failed on me.. This is so cool..:D I have noticed that especially my forearms have gotten bigger and more hard since i started with powerball.
Guess I'll have to buy one of those 250hz, if only my techno would still work i would'nt have to purchase another..
Isn't there some sort of guarantee on these things? But i bougth it in the store, does it make any difference?
Remi.
edit: Just got 10199 on the metal!!

As Dennis said, anywhere from 1500 to 2500 more with the Plastic...depends on your technique really.
Did you say you bought the Techno Powerball from this website? If so, it'll come with a full replacement warranty. If you bought it from a store, but it was produced by RPM Sports, then it'll have a parts replacement warranty. Other forms of Powerballs aren't covered.
Best thing to do would be to email repairs@powerballs.com, stating exactly what's written on the grip-band, and with a link to this thread...they might be able to help you out.
(I would still recommend a 250Hz Pro from the store here though!) ;)

The good thing about every product you buy on this site is that it has a life time warranty! I doubt whether the same applies to your Techno if it was purchased somewhere else, but you could always bring it back to the shop where you bought it and explain the problem.
Anyway, when you buy a new PowerBall, you'll find that it's absolutely worth the money. Whether or not you already have one (or more, like most PowerBallers in the Leagues). It's good to have several PowerBalls; one for training and one for record-breaking attempts. Further more, if something would happen to your PowerBall, you would have a 'back up' while you're waiting for the guys from this website to send you a replacement. :)
Dennis
P.S. I do not work for this site, so it's just my good experience that I like to share. These guys from RPM Sports run the most customer-oriented company I've ever encountered.

http://www.nsd.com.tw/index.htm
that's the homepage i'm referred to from the instruction manual..
Maybe i have somekind of pirate copy of the powerball. It's says: Nsd Power(r)ball. on the gripping band.
What do you guys think? It looks real enough..
I Think I'll concider purchasing one from this site, feels alot safer that way. And i have also heard that this is one of those places where the costumer always is rigth. hehe :p
Sorry about the poor english..

Just ordered a 250hz pro amber, and I'm waiting patiently (NOT!) for it to come..
It's gonna be fun to see how much i really can score with a good plastic, compared to the nearly broken techno i got, gonna see if i can get it fixed somehow, haven't cleaned it yet. maybe i'll try that first.
By the way, this thing seems really kickass to build forearm strength!

It totally does! After only 4-5 months, I've gotten so much stronger, I'd be embarassed to be myself 5 months ago! :p
I wrote down the 250hz and 350hz scores of the 23 top metal powerballers. The average ratio I got was: 350hz Speed x 1.16 = 250hz speed. Not guaranteeing at all that that will be your score, thats just the average.

Got it a couple of hours ago and i love it!
At my first speed test i got it up too 11608, but i have heard that you have to use the ball a couple of times before it gets worn in. It runs really smooth though, much smoother than my old techno when it was new (I think:rolleyes: ). And now I got it ordered from this site, which surely will give me some benefits when it comes to the warranty! :D
Gonna try a little more, since i only have tried once this day.
Still hunting for that 12000 barrier, Hooo boy! how I'd love to smash it!
Edit: 12239! After a warm up with the metal, and bye bye goes 12k!

I am thinking of getting a metal powerball. I have had RSI problems and a touch of tennis elbow, I had to quit my job which because of it. Can anyone recommend if the metal powerball is too heavy for rehabilation or if it's ok a lower speeds.

If your recovered, then it should be fine as long as you build it up slowly.
If you've still got pain, keep with a 250hz for a while longer
if you got 12239 nwith the metal you should have recorded it thats a high score...

That's a great score if it's with the Metal, Realnils! :)
You should be able to get past 14k quite easily (or at least with a little effort) with a Metal score like that. I'd love to see the video of the new record.

Why don;t you just get the rotor/casing replaced wherever the fault is. As far as I know, all powerballs made by NSD are covered by a lifetime guarantee

According to your calculation i can hit just over 11,000 ;)
I'm debating whether to get a metal, as you said they're a really good workout and tones your arms up! Hopefully you'll be hitting 14 k + with your 250Hz realnils ! :)
According to Installed formula you'll be hitting about 14,200! Good luck!
woah, i could hit 10552 with the metal, plus the added bonus of huge hands, ( must help with the metal ) i reckon i could hit 11k. ( im not lying about huge hands lol )
