Hey im new, just registered, received my new neon blue PB last week, started off lousy, but hit 10k, then 11k, and has taken till yesterday to finally hit 12k, woohoo!
My PB PB is 12325
Next target 12.5!
Does anyone else find that their knuckle, mostly index finger one, sometimes feels bruised after use or during use?
Hope that was a good first post!

Those are some very nice scores in just one week of powerballing, and i can tell u that i feel some pain in my index finger as well.. i guess my hand just isnt used to this kind of excercise yet. But i think that itll pass in time.. u could take a break tho if it hurts a lot.. lets say a day or two, should probably be enough. =)
Yes I do. I got 11,000 on my first day and got 12,372 in my second day (today). On the first day my arm hurt a bit but now it's just my fingers, mostly my little finger. I think the powerball might be slightly too small for my hands.

my index finger always hurts after powerballing and i get really bad blisters on my little finger and palm. experiment with different grip styles to find the comfiest as well because that can help.

I think just about everybody gets some kind of pain after extensively using a powerball. But the best was to minimize it is to properly warm up before each record breaking session.
I think the powerball might be slightly too small for my hands.
Too small? That's a luxury problem I haven't heard before. Congratulations! Sounds like you have a golden future. :)

the powerball with speed reader is too big for me, and i have very very long fingers... how strange lol.
i haven't powerballed in 4 days, and today i went back to using it and whthin one day i got a blister and popped it (my powerball is now HIV positive lol) on my pinky finger. so yeah...
and no i don't really have hiv.
The pain in your Knuckles may be something to do with technique or if your not used to the powerball yet. It should pass as you get more used to it.
and as installed said its best to warm up, and down in my case. If I get the PB going fast with my right hand it makes my RSI really painful, which warming down afterwards really helps get rid of
Hi, I'm new to powerballing too (got a neon green for xmas) and I've found that my palm seems to be bruised when I use it too much. I've got 12601 so far, but I'm hoping to better that soon (today is a rest day to let my hands recover!)

ye hi all :D
Im having the same problem as some other ppl in regards to their little fingure. I got my pb for xmass and i got it out the box and my first go i got about 7k then my second go i got just over 10 k! dunno if it was because i was un expierenced or im just a quick learner :D
well any ways, when i pb i get a pain in my little fingure; (not blistered or "sore") just a pain.
Im a rock climber so my fingures should be used to being battered but i cant see what im doing wrong :(

The thing about the Powerball is not just that it exerts a force when the rotor is spinning, but when you grip ANYthing tightly for long periods of time, the parts where the Powerball is pressing into your knuckles and skin are going to get a bit sore.
This is mostly the case for beginners, because your hands aren't going to be used to this sort of thing. As soon as you feel any sort of joint pain, stop for a while. Muscles and skin heal quite quickly, but tendons and joints tend to take longer to recover.
I've got callouses and bumps on my hands and fingers, built up over the years, but if I stop for even a couple of weeks, these soften, and then can rip off during a hard session. (I've recently lost little bits of skin in the same place on my little fingers, meaning I should stop for a few days...blisters tend to only take 2 or 3 days to almost completely heal for me.)
Too small? That's a luxury problem I haven't heard before. Congratulations! Sounds like you have a golden future. :)

I don't have particularly large hands, but the way that I hold the powerball I think the metal one fits more naturally into my hands, however in both cases the counter puts and undue amount of presure on some tendons in my hand, but in a way I could almost considering the 250hz "too small" as well.
However, I've learned to position my fingers so that they don't touch the rotor, so I can't really complain!
Hey Weee does your palm ever press the buttons on your counter? Mine does frequently, ive got to learn the exact place, because doing what you think is a good speed run, then looking seeing the counter counting down from 30.......Not fun!
i also get a slight pain in my left index finger, because the counter is pulling my finger down, while the grip on the powerball pulls it up. but with a bit of rest, its fine.
Im going to do one 90s run tonight, hopefully looking to do a high 15k. :)

I know what you mean...I've done that a few times, mainly with the Metal because of having to grip it so much tighter. Now I always make sure the buttons are nearest my wrist, where I don't actually put pressure on them. :p
