I got my powerball today and tugged on the cord! I wasn't being afraid just like the instructions said to and the plastic bit on the end of the cord came off inside my powerball!

It now makes a rattling noise!

Will this affect the performance of the ball and what can I do to remedy the problem?

Cheers,
Russ

Sorry to hear this Russ - help (http://www.powerballs.com/faq.php?q=37) is at hand however!

With regards to the pull start...yes indeed, feel free to pull as hard as you like, but please try to make sure that you pull vertically away from the ball...too great an angle left, right, front or rear may see you end up snagging the cord like this. Best regards Rory

My end of the power-cord came off today.
I've been able to repair it with shrinkwrap.:)
They use it to seal off electric cables. You can buy it in any electric DIY store.
Works like a charm...Just cut off the length you need, pull it over the cord till the end and heat it a little.
It'll shrink and pull itself tight around the cord.
Finished and no need to buy a new one. :D

when i first started powerballing i used to use super glue to make the string ends hard again, now days i just thumb flick as i find it faster than winding the string around
