After a few practices runs on my new powerball i noticed that it was sounding a bit rugged and i looked up on this site for what to do in that instance and that and it said to wash it out with water of blast it with air, i chose the water option, after removing the counter and cleaning the powerball with water and nothing else i left it to dry for around 2 hours to make sure it had all gone sure enough it sounded brand spanking new. But when ive been trying to use it it just doesnt seem to want to go faster than 8504rpm either the counter is stuck at a low speed because rarely it goes over 9000, and normally im hitting around 11,500 when i go for a fast attempt but it still only seems to be hitting around 8000rpm even if i am ripping my tendons out of place. Is it the powerball or the counter or is it just me not being used to a clean one ?

Hmm...hard one to call Joshua.
If the water was pure then it won't have affected the frictional relationship between the rotor support band and inner sphere platter so there isn't really anything that could have occurred here during the 'wash'...I recommend that you work away with it for a couple of days and see where the scoring goes...it should sort itself out by then. If not, drop liz@powerballs.com a quick mail and ask her for a new rotor support band please.
Thank you, Rory
