Just got my 3 new powerballs through the post direct from powerballs.com - However, I have noticed that the one I bought from a gadget shop is MUCH noisier than these new 3 - it sounds like a bowling ball rolling down the alley (scraping but no knocking noise). I think perhaps they aren't particularly careful in handling their stock?

Any suggestions? Or should I send the thing back seeing as I'm likely to break the thing taking it apart :)

You will need to take your Powerball apart to see if you can identify if any of the internal parts are damaged. You will see instructions in the FAQ (http://www.powerballs.com/faq.php?q=21) for this, and check for the following:

- 'ruts' in the spheres
- a worn support band
- crack in the rotor itself

If you notice damage to any component, please email repairs@powerballs.com with a link to this thread and also detail the text from the grip-band to ensure that you get the correct part for your model.

Regards

@ Solari, the one you got from the Gadget shop, if it was anything like mine, was not nearly as well made as an official Powerball (mine actually fell apart while using it) But this wasnt an official Powerball, some cheap remake.

Also a quick question for Enda about reparing powerballs.
On recent cleaning and inspection of my Neon Blue powerball, I noticed that the rotor has small cracks in all of the "pannels" (or whatever their called), I know that this isnt great, but What should I do about it?
Cheers

If you do notice cracks in the fins of the rotor then you will need to get a replacement rotor for your powerball.

As long as the Powerball is one of "ours" then it will be covered by our lifetime warranty.

Please send an email to repairs@powerballs.com with a link to this thread, and also indicate the text from the grip-band of the Powerball to ensure that you get the correct replacement part.
