My Powerball has become damaged and is in need of repair. I’m not entirely sure what the problem is. It acts as though it’s catching on something as it spins, but upon taking it apart, I saw no visible signs of damage. I’ve had intermittent problems with the ball since I bought it and have had to have a few parts replaced (washers, a sphere half). It was initially damaged during shipping when I first ordered it. At this point, I’ve decided that the best course of action is just to send it in for repair or, preferably, replacement.
Now, here's the silly question... Roughly how much can I expect to have to pay to ship this sucker back (I'm in the southeastern US)? I've checked the USPS website and it's a bit confusing. They list prices ranging from $5 to $40 depending on shipping type and letter size (even though I specified that I was shipping a package, the site still denotes shipping methods by "large letter" and "small letter" and "measurements" only lists 2 dimensions, which is probably the cause of my confusion :)). I don't need an exact figure, just a ballpark estimate. If it's going to be too expensive, I'll just buy a new powerball.
I realize I could just go to the post office and have them weigh, measure and calculate it for me, but I live a fair ways away from the post office and can't drive, so it's actually rather difficult to get there, so I don't want to waste a trip if it's going to cost more than it's worth.
