View Full Version : Tennis wrist problem
Hi everybody!
I started using powerball because of my wrist problem week ago and I must say that I was impressed with results my arm start feeling much better immediately and overall pain after three to four days disappear after a week I went to play tennis again and pain is back. When I curling my wrist I can hear grinding but other than that my arm is much stronger than week ago, I wonder should I stop playing tennis for a while.
Any suggestion from users that had the same problem.

Some injuries can take a really long time to heal, especially injuries to bone or cartilege or tendons. A few days or a week with a Powerball might help a bit, but it sounds like you have the sort of injury which is going to take many weeks or months to heal. Gentle use of the Powerball could speed things up, (if you can resist spinning it as fast as you can!), but other than that I'm not really sure what else to suggest really.
Tim.
Well after two days my wrist feels much better, yesterday I even broke my record now I am at 10566, it's kind of strange but aldo my wrist hearts and I can still hear griding in my wrist it seams that exersizing with powerball is helping, don't know if I should play tennis or should I go and check with hand speacialist??????

I have the same problem, too much tennis, my wrist hurt due to too heavy service and getting old is not good either. I bought the power ball to strengthen my wrist and arm, it is working slowly.
I got the power ball 2 weeks now and only up to 9500 RPM:o

Welcome to the site Sam.
I was only wondering the other day if any celebrities know about and use Powerballs, and I think you're probably the closest thing we have to one here! (Apart from Akis maybe! ;)

I am going to bring my power ball to all my tournament stringing , showing it off, and you never know 'who - the tennis super star' will like one and one use it all will want one
But I need to get to thr flick start, before I am showing off.
So far I only did it once, and still practicing the flick start

If you REALLY want to impress, practice the one-handed flick start! ;)
Anyway, back to tennis / racket-sport wrist-related injuries... I've been going to the golf driving range a bit lately, and have found my left wrist and some of my fingers joints tend to be a bit sore afterwards. A good hour of gentle spinning with the Powerball sorts things out nicely.
Well since you are Pro maybe you can help me with my racket I am currently using Prestige Flexpoint Midplus 98, I tried already all kinds of strings and tensions what would you recommended?
My wrist is getting better but I still feel the pain, after two weeks of Powerballing I can feel that my arms are generally stronger especially my wrist.
Just keep powerballing and yes we should not try to break any record now just easy 8500-9500 is just OK till you don't feel any pain in your wrist. After that we can go for more.
