View Full Version : Dead Ball?

I got my powerball a few months ago, and it seems that last week it began to make these scratchy noises, eventually to a sort of "clanking" during its use. However, today it seems to have completely died! The wheel refuses to spin when started, even with a string. It seems to die almost immediately as if there was some sort of resistance inside it! What can I do to fix this? :(

Hello jtranzen, and welcome to the forum.
You can always try to open your powerball, try here (http://www.powerballs.com/faq.php?q=21):p
and let us know if goes better.
Regards
If you do open your ball, it is well worth washing the support band and making sure the two holes at each end where the rotor sits are clear and have no rough bits showing.
Check that the square washers look ok, and clean the rotor ends.
I had someting similar happen, and by doing all that it helped me.
Paul.
