Hope you guys get yours soon...you'll love it! :)
Careful though, you can't thrash a Metal about the same way you can thrash a 250Hz. Even Akis injured himself over-doing it with the Metal initially.
(Hey, I just realised - my 250Hz speed score now beats Akis's Metal score...that's something to be proud of!) ;)

I really took this caution seriously about the metal, and I'm gladd I did. Personally my hand fits on the metal better than the little plastic, but it didn't feel that way in the beginning as the metal felt impossible to hold on to, and if you don't have a firm grip, it's going to slip around and give you some nasty blisters!
now that i've had the metal for 5 or 6 weeks, my hands are pretty well adapted, and I use it every other day or every 3rd day, but never more
hey guys, am i the only one that have notice the metal rotor getting hot?. (am not sure if i explane myself =P)
when am hitting the metal, after a while, the rotor starts to warm up, and it gets pretty hot.. that is normal right??.
if so, then tat could be a reason of why the 250 rotors sont last forever like the metal one.. (at least for me they dont last forever :p).
if the metal axles get hot, and they warm up the plastic of the rotor, it might expand a bit and by doing this over and over again, i think it could damage the plastic edges of the inside of the rotor,( the ones that normaly crack).
Well, thats what ive been thinking around today.
Regards!

The rotor axle can get quite hot at those high revs...preliminary tests of the Screamer rotor were showing that the support bands can melt at 18000rpm+! However, the only heating up of my Metal that I've noticed is from my own hot hand, gripping the thing for ages at a time.
But I've never had a long session and then taken the Metal apart to feel it.
its not necesary to take it appart, just touch the shinny rotor when you are done :p

yup the metal rotor warms up quite a bit... i would say about 40-45 Cº or even more.
hmm, after reading all these posts, I'm starting to fear the metal
can't wait to get it though.
don't fear it, just respect it, and eventually you'll never want to be without it =)
Hey Enda,
I was wondering when it would be in stock again, I really want one, but I have a bit of a problem. I guess i'll pm you.
