Driving me mad

This thing has been driving me mad ever since I got it yesterday, I keep hearing all these stories of how great it is but I can't get more than 10 seconds of use out of the damn thing.

I wind up the string, pull it, and it starts spinning and lights flick on. I turn it over, and begin to rotate it and thats it, it just dies down after about 5-10 seconds and I'm left thinking - what's so great about that?

Please, can someone give me some advice on this thing because I've been trying and trying to 'rotate it' with my wrist but it doesn't seem to do anything.

Thats because you havent found the nack yet.. We stood outside a pub yesterday with one of these.. 1 guy was ****, basically all he could do was pull the cord and by the time that had run down that was it, he couldnt find a way to work with it..

It does take practice and some logic.. Follow the how to get it going instructions, the only thing I found was that if I held it in my hand and I had the pull cord line going at about 45 degrees to my body, I could then use like a tipping motion to get it started a bit more and then move to the circular motion required.. I think I got about 10k! Which isnt bad for about the 4th time I held it..

Im so looking forward to being able to put in some serious time with mine when it arrives.

got it work yet? i had the same problem... 1. keep only pulling the cord until you about 2500 every time, it helps. 2. start it slower, much slower, use only your wrist and make wider circles first.
