Hey All!,

For those who have been using the Powerball for a while, where have you seen you greatest increases in strength? And have you seen noticable improvement in your favorite sport?

Tell me your story!

Always Powerballing,
Duane Cash

Not sure about my strength, but the biggest physical increase in my arm size is my triceps and shoulders. Not exactly big, but nicely toned. As for sport, I don't do anything regularly enough to have noticed a difference unfortunately. (Shame I didn't know about Powerballs when I was playing badminton 5 times a week many years ago!)

I always had naturally big biceps and forearms but after using Powerballs for 7 months my arms are more toned and harder. My forearms have increased by 1/2 an inch to 13.5 inches. My biceps and triceps are the same size at 16.5 inches but alot harder.
What I really noticed is that when I play golf I get real powerfull and solid hits, especially with my irons because of the wrist action I get. Last week I hit my 6 iron 200 yards. I'm still a new golfer. Only been golfing 3 years. I am 56 years old and my arms are in the best shape they been in a long time.
My powerball record is 13892 with the 250Hz and 11759 with the metal. I'm having a hard time reaching 14000 because of my age. Some days I feel more tired than others.

I went and played tennis for the first time since starting powerball, and was hitting some serves with very good pop, I definitely hit one close to 120mph, and in too! it wasn't an ace, but after it hit my opponent's racket it pretty much flew to the moon.

I noticed even more of a difference when I took a little off the serve to be accurate, because it didn't end up being that much slower than my full speed serve and those resulted in the most aces.

I really want to go back to a driving range as I haven't hit a golf ball since starting to powerball either, and I'd love to crush a ball past the net at the end of the range, I'll go some time and let you know the results =)

weee,

That would be fantastic! I'd love to hear about how you do at the driving range. I haven't played golf in so long, and it was definitely before Powerball. I look forward to playing again sometime, just to see what the difference is now.

I showed the rest my family the Powerball at a gathering last night, and they were all intrigued by this rould little powerhouse. My brother especially liked it. He could'nt keep his hands off of it. It's a good thing I brought 2 Powerballs with me so I could put in some revs! I'm pretty sure he'll buy one soon. He was registering only around 9000 or so, but that's okay. I know it takes practice.

I was logging some 13K+ runs today using a slightly different technique. It's getting easier to do it. I was still taking it easy because of all the activity with the Powerball last night. I plan to reach for my record of 13,713 again in the next day or too. I may wait until my webcam arrives so that I can capture any 14K+ runs on video.

It's been 3 weeks now since I first received my Powerball. I'm enjoying it greatly! I'm also looking forward to hitting 14K soon!

Always Powerballing,
Duane Cash

hey guys... i went for a little golf the other day.. actually yesterday :p
and i didnt see a diference XDD, maybe its because i dont golf.. and i havent golf since i was a little kid... and that should be around 5 6 years ago?..
so .. yesterday i hit a few balls and they were flying and allways going to the right.. .. and when i finished golfing, a friend of mine told me a bit of the technique i should be using...
So concluding that i dont know how to golf, and i knew how to do it after i finished golfing, maybe i can send it to the 200 yards sign..
:p

Hi Duane Cash,

I may wait until my webcam arrives so that I can capture any 14K+ runs on video.

Why wait? If you happen to feel in a strong mood and hit 14k, you can always make a video afterwards showing at least 98% of that particular speed, and it'll be accepted.

Kind regards,
Dennis

Why wait?
Exactly, get those high scores as soon as you can and photo them, then worry about the video later. As Dennis says, a 98% video is acceptable.

:)

Thanks guys! I will start going for the 14K mark later today. I suppose I need to get use to that speed now before I can reach even higher like 15K+.

We got our for mainly for our son who is a gymnast. He broke both bones in his wrist and had to end up having surgery to repair all the tendons he tore from the bone. He went through 4 months of physical therapy before we got our powerball. Even after all the physical therapy I think the most improvement has been after he began using the powerball. He did lose some movement of one of his fingers and that has not come back. By using the powerball he has got back a lot of the rotation in his wrist that the doctors said he would never get back. His had been focusing mainly on the wrist he broke and now it is stronger than his other one. He is now back in the gym full time and it's looking like it is going to be a good competitive season for him.

Fantastic to hear how well your son's doing after such a nasty injury, BasketCase. I hope his return to gymnastics is over 100% successful.

(Doctors, what do they know, eh?!) ;)

Great news BasketCase!

Its always good to hear about the positive effects seen first-hand from using Powerball. I'm glad that your son is in good shape again and wish him the best for the coming season.

Thank you. For the first time in the 2 years with the wrist problems he now wants to be in the gym all the time. He wrist was always hurting. I have to give most all the credit to using the powerball. Now he went and dislocated his finger the other night. He is suposed to be taking a few days off of the gym but not him. I think from using the powerball his fingers have gotten stronger and so he has less pain. It's swollen twice the size of his other fingers but he claims it is just a bit sore, nothing to stop pratice for.

Thanks DrummerBoy. He hadn't complained all week about his finger until he need to mow the grass. Then it was hurting to much. I made him mow the grass anyway, lol.

I have seen an improvement with my golf swing the ball goes a nice bit farther then before the powerball In fact I hit one over an entire field before hitting a tree and losing the golf bal and the field has got to be at least 150-200yds

I haven't played Golf for a long time, but I've just started going down the driving range, as I always used to love that. I was hoping that if I bought a 460cc driver I'd be able to hit right to the end of the range, (which is a little over 250 yards...my friend says he drives into the trees at the back of the range all the time, and can sometimes hit it over 300 yards! ), but it turns out my driving is pretty rubbish...I can't get much over about 220 yards at best, and never straight. Weirdly, I can reach the 205 yard marker quite easily with a 3-iron.

My friend's just borrowed a Powerball actually, as he's got a bad elbow, so I'd be interested to see if he notices an improvement in his game. He plays off a 7-handicap, so is pretty good.

I've been using my powerball so aggressively I can't tell; my arms are always extremely tired so I can't do a thing =P It does look/feel like my forearms have gotten a little more firmer though.
Then again, I haven't had it for a very long time, so I can't really make a fully solid statement about it.

Have you had your serve clocked.? I'm not trying to be an arse but it's SO common for people to seriously overestimate their serve. I've seen people say "I know i hit 120mph" and when the gun comes out they struggle to break 90. Just asking

I've been clocked in the mid 110s without warmup on a rado smash court booth at the mercedes benz cup in los angeles.

I can manage about 70-80mph which is respectable. But 120mph  Do you play at any level? Or do you just play as a casual sport?

Oh ok, Was just wondering. I hit low 100's (had 104mph recorded but know i've hit harder) and consistantly have 98 and 100mph recorded.

I played in high school and was offered some scholarship money to play on some lower level university teams, but I focused on academics instead. I played for fun a bit in college and matured and gained more strength, I hit in the mid 100s in high school. I'm not terribly good anymore timing is lost, I don't like to play with casual players still unless they can keep up a solid paced rally. My serve was always one of my strengths. BTW I started at about 7 years old.

i got around 79-84 around 3 years ago at wimbledon serve tester :) , and i would say i am good at tennis, and have been playing tennis constantly for around 2-3weeks so i reckon it would be quite decent :D
