Hey folks,

I have received today a replacement support band for my techno. But unlike the generic support band which is what i have been sent, the techno appears to have a little bit extra added to it at the opposite side to the magnet/counterweight. I wasn't sure if RPM had sent out the wrong bit or not, but decided to try it anyway.

But now the leds on the rotor do not light at all. Can someone confirm it is because of this extra bit on support band not being there that the rotor is not powering up correctly.

Cheers.

Paul

The old band from the techno was black, the new support i got was the generic white one that goes with most of the other powerball range.

I have to admit, a Techno is the only model I've never taken apart, so I'm not familiar with the support-band dynamics or anything like that. But as long as the rotor spins okay, and as long as you put the magnet over the one end of the support-band, then it should work okay.

Odd.
